The money shot.
Well 3 months after the initial concept, research and LDD work I finally finished my ATST. Based on Joe Johnstons original design and the pre upgrade version used in Galactic battlegrounds the stratagy game with lots of artistic licence on the feet and legs by me.
Basically I had seen and loved the ATST used in the movies for so long that I am officially over it but still wanted to build a Star Wars walker of some kind for my collection and so we have this old girl.
Enjoy and comment away please as this thing has dominated my headspace for some time now and I am glad to set it free.

A much more robust design than the classic 'chicken-walker' and the better looking for it. Looks like it could really menace opposition troops in the same vein as the AT-AT. Great build. |

Hi there folks and thanks to all for the comments....much appreciated.
Louis K you are correct in referencing the AT-AR from wookiepedia as the model I have based this on.
However...purist that I am I have named it after it's original intention.
When Joe Johnston did the initial designs it was a version af the AT-ST he was proposing. Since then others have reappropriated and renamed various models of a lot of star wars hardware so that the universe may continue to expand and keep it's look and feel.

I know what you mean about setting a piece you've been working on for ages free. This is great and well worth all that effort. Looking at that AT-AR link, I would agree with Louis. |

Wow! The design and the whole studless building is awesome! you put a lot of detail in this fantastic walker, great job! BTW I wouldn't call it a AT-ST, I think it looks totally like an AT-AR: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/AT-AR (especially the second pic) :) |
