The Merkavus.A deadly and gigantic vessel that prowls in and out of the outer and inner rim systems. It is very much self dependent which means it may pose a threat to even a medium sized fleet. The predecessor to the Mirage, most of the Merkavus's equipment and weapons were duplicated and constructed onto the Mirage. One difference was the Mirage was made to look like a sleek and elegant flagship serving as an icon to the UCP and GAIA ships. One key design however that wasn't implemented in the Mirage was the Merkavus's impossibly large engine that can easily swallow metropolis's and create a thrust so powerful that ships its size will not be able to maintain its speed.
About this creation
Looking into the center of the city-sized main engine. A monstrosity!
A general view of the 2 cylindrical Engine wells. Able to exert enough thrust to match that of a frigate!
A rather outdated radar dish that actually holds high-tech,long-range sensory equipment enabling it to spot and target enemy vessels well before they spot it.
Closer view of the various power cells, cannons and biodomes packed into small space. Unfortunately in micro-scale my greebles will be a bit limited but just thing of the size of those cannons and such when put in real scale.
The undercarriage of the Merkavus. to the top you can see the secondary bridge.Underneath is a large bomb bay, welding laser, and an observation dome, tinted in black to divert the sun's deadly rays.

Yea ha ha sadly I don't have a nice bulk color set so they come and go.Ill take your advice parrington and try to stretch this thing out a bit and try to re-work the overall complexity of it.I think its just that there are greebles on it that don't even have a meaning to the ship lol. |

Like Parrington said, it is promosing. The shape is garbled and realistic enough. But, in my opinion, instaed of going for more complex, try to simplify. Don't overstretch your collection and try to keep a level of color coherence and your stuff will look great :) |

There is a promising look to the over all shape of this. If you have the time or pieces, I imagine a larger scaled version of this, keeping the design aspects as similar as possible, would really stand out. Good stuff.

That is one big ship! FOUR of the Rim Worlders' mobile space docks, their largest self propelled craft, could fit inside that engine tube! The Matriarch tells me they're going to feel like bulekks buzzing around a falor. (Sort of like gnats around a cow, I think.) Anyway, she seems to be suitable impressed. And so am I. |
