Bricktopia Updated
The modern Bricktopia
About this creation

Recently, I started a microcity called "Bricktopia". Now, I have updated it, but now with new modules, but with new buildings. The landscape remains the same, however the buildings are mostly different, and the roads have been upgraded to have a better bridge and be level with the rest of the landscape. I believe that it looks better that way. I also have a guided tour for you! Oh, and I'd like to note, those strange stud like structures on Stud Island are still there, and nobody knows their purpose. They are, however fragile, as evident by the smooth parts of the coast, so do not touch them.

First, enjoy the views of the city as your plane begins to land...

Now, let's take a look at the buildings. And yes, I am planning on adding an airport when I actually extend the city to a base of 36x36, probably in a month or so.

Here is the Bricktopian Seaview Centre. It's quite nice to be in there, however since the large aquariums are on the outisde, and the experience is the same (give or take a few raindrops and serial killers) most people stay outside.

Here we have the Bricktopia National Bank. It's the place where failed investors go to cry and soon to fail investors go to waste all of their money. It's an interesting place. Oh, and it's on the shore because that makes it close to the LEGO Store, which is just by the docks.

Also here is the Arena. It's strangely shaped because some weirdo architect wanted to use so called 'cheese slopes' in it. It hosts many tournaments, and can act as a gallery sometimes.

This revolving restaurant has has been spinning for two decades now. They say it's due to a malfucntion... Well, it's spinning so fast that it causes everything to stick to the outer wall, so nobody can be there... And it's too dangerous to demolish. So, uhh, live with it.

These are the Docks, right next to the LEGO store (The building with the tan roof). The docks are currently empty, becuase all of the bricks on them have been allready bought by megalomaniac AFOLs and TFOLs. Every week, a huge container ship comes here, and bringing a huge cannon and firing at any ships in its way is a 20 year old tradition.

The Overpass Malls are two identical malls that are built over the Stud Island Highway. They get lots of traffic trough them because they're the only way to get from one side of the highway to the other, but nobody buys anything. Every seven days, a megalomaniac AFOL jumps from the third window on the second floor of the first mall. The reason might be that they didn't get a chance to buy any LEGO from the store, but it is still under investigation.

The Theatre is an open theatre located under the Overpass malls. Random people go to the stage and make fools of themselves since 1997.

This black tower thing is called the Lookout Tower. Most people thing that it's called lookout tower because you can see all the way to Shannonia from it... But it's actually called Lookout Tower because often birds crash into the huge metal lightning rod on the top and then fall down on you, and people yell "Look out!".

Grey Paradise Hotel. This is an -5 star hotel, because of the poor... everything. It's ugly, extremly expensive, the service is horrible, the rooms are the size of a coffin (And probably were coffins before they became rooms), the windows are so dirty that you can't see anything, it's allways waaaaaaaay too hot in them... the list goes on. It was probably only built so nobody can create a hotel behind it, due to the big grey thing on the roof being so extremly ugly that one cannot believe it.

Navy Blue Hotel. The only hotel that survives behind the view-shattering Grey Paradise Hotel, it is tall and has a 4 star rating, mostly because of the stupid ugly building in front of it. Decent, but it has an ugly view.

These two lighthouses are awesome. Nobody knows why are they awesome, or why were they built... they're just awesome. It's like awesomeness radiates from them. Everyone tho sees them is said to be enlightened with awesome.

The Bridge, as we cross the Studless Sea over to Stud Island. It took me 10 minutes to get it right, so I command you to LIKE IT!

The Cannon tower. Once used to defend Bricktopia from the evil armies that came from across the seas (Or that's at least what the propaganda movie said...) now it's used for the local tradition, of destroying any ships in front of the container ship bringing new supplies of LEGO to the docks.

The Bley Condominiums were built for people who like a view. Actually, there are only two apartments here, but that's okay, they cost as much a the all other apartments in the city combined.

Blue Moon Hotel. Same as the Grey Paradise, just not as ugly.

R.E.D. HQ. It is... uhh... nobody really knows what R.E.D. is, other then an old DRC team... Ah, who cares, it's red... uhh... red...

Stud Island Condominiums. It is the tallest building in Bricktopia so far that isn't just a huge lightning rod. Nice view, great apartments... the Mayor lives in the one on the top, for the best view and the best workout to get to the top floor. Stupid designers forgot to add an elevator.

Old ruins of a fort from pre-classic castle times. You can only get there by boat, but it is a real sight. Some strange markings (For example, studs that have different markings on them, but are still LEGO original) are present, but nobody has decoded them yet....

and there is the end of our tour.

Now, just to show you a few more pics of the Stud Island Highway...

And another view of the city...

And that's all!!!!

Fourth Wall Comentary:

-This is my first time doing fourth wall comentaries

-My greatest inspiration was seeing Shannonia, really... I did decide to make my own style tho... I hope it isn't too similar to Shannonia...

-The pictures were taken at night, with a few lamps and a new background, which I think turned out pretty well.

-Please comment! And tell me if I should continue.

Absolutely you should continue! You've got a good-looking city here, with some neat building designs. The cranes at the docks are brilliant.

I like most of the buildings very much. They look very modern and it's nice that you added a story, as well. Good job. :)
