I'm 95% happy with how this one turned out. Looking at the claws and head I think they need to be a little larger with more articulation, but overall the shape is what I was after. Still not sure about the wings...
About this creation
I'm expanding the medieval universe theme with some back story, let me know what you think.
Name: Dacconi Grandus
Species: Dragon
Motto: You can have the land, sea and air, but come beneath my mountain and you die.
History: Dacconi is the last of the old ones, a race of dragons who remember the birth of man and the fall of the gods. He is a bitter and reclusive creature, sleeping beneath the mountains of the north, and will devour any creature foolish enough to venture into his domain. Of which there have sadly been many since rumours of treasure follow Dacconi, stories are sung through out the land of the piles of gold and silver he sleeps on like a nest. Whether these stories are true is unknown, for no one has stolen from him and lived. He refuses to ally himself with the Elves who dwell in the castle above his head, and has warned them not to disturb him or he will destroy them utterly. Since dragon scales are an essential part of many black magic spells, there are still foolish wizards and mages who venture below, no one knows whether they still live.

The Grand Dragon, great worm of the dark mountains.

It looks dangerous but really great. Your LDD dragons are almost as good as Stormbringer's. (If you don't know him, his dragons are one of the best I've seen. Check it out if you can) All in all, Great job and thanks for the comment on my pokeball =D 5/5 |

Nice, I like dragons.
Some things you might want to consider in a next version would to make bigger wings, possibly attempt membranes on them (a difficult task, I know); more thought into the placement of the spines, possibly more on the ridge of the back (if that's possible) and on the head: and the abdomen section could be made a little thicker. But this is merely my humble opinion, take it or leave it.
If you do make another version let me know, though; you've got this one going good.
all very good suggestions. I have to admit the middle section is a bit "thin", so I agree the abdomen needs beefing up. I've developed some different techniques for joints that might come in handy for that. The spines do look saturated on the legs and tail, but absent in other parts, easily fixed, especially with a larger head (as I had planned to do).
The wings are an issue, membranes in LDD are difficult as there is no "canvas" parts, however triangular plates could work.
Thanks for the suggestions. |

Wow, the tail is great! The head could be bigger though. Nice job!
Yeah, I mentioned in the description the two things I wanted to change were the head and claws, I like them, but they aren't really to the same scale as the body.

Dude... I am always impressed by your work... Once again, a great moc! I like how the moc doesn't look overly detailed but extremely beautiful at the same time... Great job dude... XD
thank you, the focus on this one was articulation, I wanted something that could hold a variety of poses. Like I said in the notes I'd have preferred to find a way of making the head and feet larger they seem a bit under developed to me. I'm particularly proud of how the tail worked out, those claw pieces really set it off for me. |

Woah, Easy man, easy. Nice dragon.
Thank you.
I'm perhaps my worst critic, looking at this it is possibly one of my better designs, but it just isn't the design I had in my head. Maybe one day I'll have another crack at it.
