Pirate galleon- The Flying Shadow
After getting Brickbeard's bounty i just had to build big pirateship at last- i did a classic galleon type ship- not very realistic maybe but i like it- here it is The Flying Shadow- ship of the Notorious pirate Crimson Blackheart (my own character of course XD)
About this creation
without the figs

and with them...

command deck with a wheel and captain (one with a shiny saber)

A Stern of this ship

Rudder
a Life boat
Close up of the wheel

a bow- sorry this pic is bit bad

a figurehead is lovely mermaid- ok not very logic with the name but hey Black Pearl do have an angel in it- not very logic either- maybe ship is named afterwards by Blackheart -but figurehead remained same

Captain Blackheart himself

Ok no guns on the other side little fake here XD

Outside worked out well (at least i like it myself) but what is special in this ships is the interior- let's remove the first removable deck and look inside:

Cannondeck...

and a capstan for raising the anchor (with some fiddlemusic of course)- and it actually works! i tried to do working rudder as well but it didn't worked out-

And Captain Blackheart's great cabin

just like Captain Nemo or Davy Jones he also do have an organ in his cabin

other stuff, a globe,a parrot, an hourglass, a logbook and a bed...

but what is beneath the bed? secret locker where Blackheart hides his treasure that he don't want to share equally with the crew- that guy is evil even for a pirate XD
Crimson's another saber and picture of his daughter that lives somewhere far away... (maybe he is not such heartless after all)
anyway let's remove the last deck to see very bottomdecks of this vessel...(unfortunately masts also had to be removed

ok There is a main cargohold and...

...ship's kitchen or galley- with chineselooking cook...

little armory

and supplies like drinking water, rum and gunpowder- but what is in which barrel?- confusing for a pirate...

Wondering those gray studs- they are supposed to be ballast stones - really used in ships to keep them steady....
Well there is no bilge water but lots of bilge rats- also the real ones XD

and then ship's brig (a cell)...

And very unhappy soldier as prisoner... poor guy...

Quoting Louie M why did use big guns on pirate sets.in the black pearl moc you said i wish lego made smaller cannons.why did you use them not your costum cannons.
I decided to use these this time but yes I do think lego could make smaller cannons also- there are different sized cannons really so lego should make also small guns.

Quoting Sebeus I Nicely done, I do want to criticize, first, it's a great colorscheme, the cabin is beautiful in the dark red, nice interior too, But I do have some complains, the sides of the ship look quite flat, I can imagine if you would take a front or back picture you would see it is quite boxy, I suggest you infuse some inverted slope bricks (on the midsections) and slope bricks near the edge of the deck to give it a more round shape, I always do it that way (http://www.mocpages.com/image_zoom.php?mocid=91774&id=/user_images/12746/12322731911) . but you could also work on angles like this one did http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/165307 but beware, that's more difficult. Anyway, try out things and have fun exploring with your new ship parts.
thanks for creative critic- you're right ships are not this boxy but actually this beauty took almost all of my slopes so i cannot do it much more round even if i would like- also i'm probably not going to do many sailing ships for a while now but i may use your tips for my next one- whenever it comes....

Amazing detail! My personal favorite is the Captains cabin. Have you seen Lego's new ship? Its a flag ship for the "soldiers". My dad told me we could get it if I pay half of the cost!
