About this creation
Hello! It's been about a year since my Kashyyyk diorama made it's debut, and i'm happy to announce that another diorama-taking place on Kashyyyk-is finally complete! It's been almost 4 months since i first thought up this creation, however limits of time and pieces have made this project much longer lived than hoped. Now, i understand quite a few people have been anticipating this for a long time. So, without further shenanigans, I give to you my largest creation ever; Clone Empire Base. Enjoy!
Showing off all of our troops
Roof detailing, anti-aircraft turret

Well everyone, I really hope you enjoyed this one. I spent a lot of time on it, and it's definitely my best base ever built.
Now for some stats:

# of pieces used; 2000+
Size; 160x112 studs
Special thanks to everyone who gave me advice and suggestions to make it better, and to everyone at the Lego Company for making this build-all of our builds-possible. Thanks so much guys, stay blocky!
-Tom

Nice. The control tower is likely my favorite part with the build. I would just improve on the building interior, maybe add more detail and maybe a training room. You also could of made the pics just a little bit better. Overall, a 4/5 from me. But nice work though! |

Oops I forgot my favorite thing: the communication dish! Looks brilliant in your diorama. Is the design the same as from the Death Star set? The tower is to basic in my opinion. Maybe you could try out this technique: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tiberium_blue/2810430881/. I hope I've been usefull! ~M
That certainly is an elegant looking tower! I had the thought that it looked to simple as I was uploading photos, but by that time it was too late. Anyways, yes, the communications dish is basically the same design as from the Death Star set, although I made a few minor adjustments to compensate for weight. Anyways, i'll add this to my list of things to improve before I begin working on my stop-motion! Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it!

Very impressive! The size is jaw-dropping. I like that you added a detailed interior to the bunker. Does the roof come off easily? The landscape is very good, enought different kinds of plants and trees. Maybe you could make the landscape less flat next time? I know that is hard to realize with such a big diorama so it's not really a problem. However, there is one thing that bugs me and that is the studs. If you make a SNOT bunker next time your diorama would improve a lot. All in all, a very impressive and detailed diorama! You've got quite a collection! ~M PS: sorry for the long comment Yes, the roof is very easy to remove. It simply clips on, and comes off in two sections. And in regard to the studs, I wish I had made it studless, as I have enough pieces to do so. I'll definitely look into doing this, and I'll add pictures of the studless product in a few hours. Thanks for the kind remarks and suggestions! |

It's nice to see that you are posting mocs again, and like every one else said, this thing is HUGE. I think it would look better if the inside of the base was SNOT, but it's so big I guess it would be hard to get enough plates. Nice work. ~ J |

This is amazing Tom! The size of the creation is huge! I think the best part in the MOC, in my opinion, is your little clone army, the anti-aircraft guns, the communication atannae, and the interior of the base. I didn't really expect you to make the interior when I started reading and looking at the beginning, but you did! =) I can see that you put alot of work into it, because of the size! ;) Awesome build. ~ Ghostman :) |

Tom, it's a pleasure having you back. This base is going to get a ridiculous amount of I like its, views, comments, etc. You really need to be active now and see who's running this place. Me, Fero, a new guy we like named Juan C. (or Camilo on flickr which we all are using now). We also stuck with Awesome and Robo Man. Great build; I would have liked more detailing, but I'm not sure you have a piece left! |

Wow, this is just fantastic. You realy got alot of detail into it and it has that special Kashyyyk spice of plants that everyone loves. You've always been one of my inspirations on MOCpages, and this realy is one of my favorite MOCs. If you could, I'd appreaciate it if you'd check out my Venator which can comfortably hold around 60 clones inside. I'd give you a link if I could, but my iPod wont let me coppy & paste links :(

WOW! It's HUGE! I really like the gunship on the landing pad, and your terrain has some flawless transitions! However, Some of the props seem a bit rough. I'd try maybe smoothing over the radar tower, and add more trees. When you have the time, could you check out my first 100-stud diorama? It's the latest MOC. |

Woah that's amazing! All the detail everywhere, usually the problem with big dios is that they are bare but you managed to give vegitation to everything, the wookie tree houses are pretty cool too, as is the comms. antennae, althogh the tree houses and large dish really remind me of Endor... Comparing the size of your dio to that door really gives a sence of scale, excelent MOC overall=D
BTW Do you have a Flickr?

I do not generally comment on SW creations, but this is very good. You put some great detail into this creation. I would only suggest that you work on the picture quality as some are a bit dark and they are small. Otherwise, great MOC. |
