GRA stands for Growing Robotic Arm. While it did not really grow, it could make its self taller, longer, or shorter if it needed to. The arm was on top of the main body. There are 2 sets of 2 motors for each of the joints, I had to do this to have enough power. I never got pass my test phase using a remote that I made. GRA was involed in an accident that damaged it enough that I could not rebuild it with out taking the whole thing apart.
GRA was built to be the first step in a robotic arm that could take things off a small table (the types that go infront of couches) and be able to reach objects far under a couch with out actually driving under the couch. It did have really go range, I might build a new one some day. Especially now sence I have a lot more parts. GRA is like most of the robots on here, in being at least 2-4 years old.
