Allright after many piratethemed mocs i get an inspiration to do ww2 moc- this one is operation Market Garden and is based on the town of Nijmegen during the war- inspired by MOH airborne...

Good job! this is really like holland but a couple of things the buildings are a little messy and the soldiers could use custom helmets but the rest is great.
i don't use brickarms/forge stuff but new toystory set has helmets for soldiers... perhaps there is the answer.... and houses are supposed to be messy. city is bombed -come one bombing makes quite a mess.... |

looks cool, looks like in the game BUT the game gives a wrong example of how holland looks like, and your creation too. Great minifigs tough.
You may know what holland looks like today- but it did look like that (as in game it was not lego XD)during the ww2... i have seen old photos- and game is very accurate... of course holland has different areas... |

Yes i do like the moc i live the detail on the house where the color differenciates between the gray and the red and i have republic heroes for will and when its done using the force to keep the leg down the leg always releases and i dont have enough time to get on the leg. Do you mean "for Wii"- don't have that -so i cannot say- search from the net for walkthrough....

Republic heroes is horrible. I dont know how to kill the stupid tri droid.
the first one?- you should use the force to the leg and then walk towards it's head (using the leg- easier done than said thanks to st*pid controls)and then jump once and cut the gun- and then repeat it until all three guns are cut and then it mystically dies.... ummm.. do you like the moc? |

LOL, I just beat "Vanguard" the other day! Good to see this series is making a comeback, I remember playing MOH Frontline, absolutely horrible. The MOC is great! I do like the "slice" technique as it makes it feel like the dio was just plucked out of the real thing. I also love how you made the explosives. Great as always! =) What- h*rrible? no way Frontline rules it is old but very great- just played Star Wars the republic heroes- that is "a h*rrible" game frankly....

Excellent work, I really like the war-torn look of the town. The buildings are great quality as well. Also, I like to point out that I like how the set of stairs you used in a few pictures is covered in dust, it gives a great look to the scene. I'm not sure if you intended to do that, but great work Swash. Keep it up, and happy holidays
LOL -that dust is not intended to be there- it is just good now but normally it is a problem... studdy legos always get dust if i am not washing them all the time... |

Well, it's fictional and a little post-apoc like, so there are sci-fi things like a hover dropship-tank like thing and the deep desert. So far I placed there some fighting minifigs, the attacking hover thing, a little tower building and some ground textures. sounds good- but it still needs something- hard to say- maybe bunker or trench cannot give better tips now- sorry....

Awesome detail, man! More action can´t be put into a diorama, grat job! BTW I´m working on a 32x32 diorama, it takes place in a desert (it´s a battle, not star wars), and looks pretty bare, but I don´t know what to add...any tips? :)
That's hard- is it ww1, ww2, iraq or some other real war- or compeletely inspired- or some post-apoc stuff- it os hard to say if i don't know more about it? |

I love the chaotic feeling of this moc! Are you dutch? Because the houses look very much like dutch ones. About the 'slices of buildings', maybe you could add some gaspipes? So that you immediatly see that it's a slice through. A bit like this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/no_onions/158170512/. Anyways, great diorama with lots of detail! ~M No i'm from Finland- but i wanted to do dutchlooking houses- i watched pics of them and looks like i succeeded pretty well- yeah pipes are good idea but there aren't them in the every wall though...
