This is the weakest Bounty Hunter fighter called "Piranha". The typical ship for a bounty hunter rookie.
About this creation
With crime on the rise, there has been resurgence in the Bounty Hunter Trade. To hunt down a criminal one must think like a criminal - and be armed like one too. The Piranha delivers expertly on this note, providing every bit of the firepower and armor needed for the job. The added cargo space for transport and delivery of captured escape pods rounds out its generous appointments.

The AP-6364 Piranha Bounty Hunter Light Fighter is one of the better light fighters. It is only available in the Bretonia systems, but can be worth the trip if you are looking for an cheap but good light fighter.
This ship is notable for its capability to hold level 4 weapons. However, since you arrive in Bretonia with a similarly-leveled ship, consider skipping this and getting something better instead. It is a good choice if you crave adventure and don't have access to Buffalo Base as it's similar to the Dagger Border World Light Fighter minus the turret mount.
Interestingly, NPC-piloted Piranhas are sometimes equipped with turrets (and drop them as salvage), despite the lack of a turret mount.
The shield emitter on top of the cockpit.
The freight compartment is shorter, compared to the "Hammerhead".
Only one engine and the thruster is located underneath it on the starboard side of the lower fin.
No turret on the hardpoint above the engine!
The cruise disruptor missile launcher. It fires an extremely fast missile that disables the prey´s cruise engine, leaving hardly any damage, but preventing it from escaping!
Two class four and two class three guns mounted on the hardpoints.
The silhouette of the "Piranha" from the front...
...and from above.
The ship is pretty flat and so it is hard to hit, except from the sides!

It's a very nice shape, and I'm totally fond of the coloring ! Love what you've done on the upper tail and in the section under the windscreen (blue/dark blue mix) - Nice weapons too, another great ship !
I´m glad that you like it. Just yesterday a friend of mine said that it is little bit too blue. But, i don´t care, he´s got always something to complain about.

Pheew, this one is truly original in design - I like it alot! The colour and pattern are beautiful and the shape gives a really brutal and aggressive impression. Spitze!
Thanks, it is aloso one of my favourites. This ship truely deserves the name "Piranha". It is not one of the biggest, but therfore very agile and it shouldn´t be underestimated when coming up in groups! |

I'm not sure I'd like to face a 'Heavy' fighter if this is light! Great job, excellent design, perfect in almost every way. Only thing I might change is the colors to make it even more imposing. Good going!
You should take a look at my "Hammerhead", then you´ll see how the VERY heavy variant looks like. Bristled with weapons! ;-) As for the colours, I tried to match them with the bounty hunter uniforms from Freelancer without making it look too coloured. So I just changed the generic Freelancer grey into white and added some more blue highlights than just the blue bib on the front! I also thought that it would make the ship look a little police like. |
