Well, I finally built my little brother's Santa Train, or whatever it's called. Of course, I didn't stop there; minifigs had to be placed, and as you'll see there's more than meets the eye...
First off, the locomotive. As you can see, in order to position the engineer the top had to be removed, and boy howdy was it a pain to reattach! Heck, the entire set was like that! Personally, I'll stick with starfighters.
There's the happy engineer!
The passenger car has a few people in it. Sorry for the blurriness, I think the train was moving when this pic was taken. We have a nice couple and (what I consider to be) a sigfig of sorts looking out the window.
Oh boy, presents! Who doesn't want a skateboard, dismantled motorized trike, apples, flowers... wait
Ah yes, a not-too-cheerful FBI agent... huh? WHAT. What's going on that's so important??
Ah-HA! It seems that Indiana Jones is at it again! He's locked in a duel between a foe of some sort, while the eager young boy clings to the car while holding the priceless Golden T. Rex, perfectly preserved. Look out, obligatory hot woman! You might fall!
Not to worry, of course. One of Indy's pals chases the train, ready to catch anyone at a moment's notice (He's actually attached to the train)!
Oh, bugger. A ninja?! Probably after the statuette! A terrified crew member watches the action. Careful Indy!
And finally, a parting shot of a suave Santa Claus and one freaky rabbit.
Definitely the most fun I've had with a set for a long time! I took delight in telling the story of this train to multiple family members, my little brother especially loving it. My favorite part was (hands-down) positioning the Indiana Jones characters. Well, one more Christmas MOC to go!
