Day I
What happened? When did it all go wrong? None of that truly matters now, the stories of the beautiful world this once was have become nothing more than optimist fairytales, lies. True we still have civilisation, but we are surrounded by a barren wasteland. We are "safe" here, yet we have absolutely no contact with the rest of the world. No one leaves or enters those cold walls, well not alive that is. Are we safe, or are we prisoners?
 I refuse to be a prisoner.
 As I ran, I could hear an officer telling a guard "Hold fire, the desert will deal with him." Perhaps he was right, perhaps I am walking straight to my death...
Day III
The desert is cruel and unforgiving. The sun scorchs not only my skin but my very mind, I will surely become insane, if I am not already insane. I'm in hell, no other words can properly describe this place.
 The world is spinning out of control. I fell into the sand, each grain of sand seemed to stab me, to eat me. I know I must get up and continue, but what's the point? I will die either way, why prolong my suffering?
 I lifted my gaze to see what lay ahead of me, I saw a dark figure, with no face or human features. Despite it's lack of eyes, I got the strange feeling that it was... staring at me. I am surely mad, yet it seems so real...
 I must know, I gathered my withering energies to get up. As soon as I got up the figure, waved at me. This common gesture sent chills up my spine...
 The figure ran. Something inside of me made me follow it, I truly do not know why I did, my movements were almost involuntary, as if some unknown force was pulling me.
Day VI
I have followed that shadow for three days now, my mind is slipping along with the shadow. I can hardly remember, little less than a week ago I was... alive and safe. Am I dead? I've never stopped to think what happened after death, perhaps I will find out soon. For now I mindlessly follow this shadow that seems to mock me with every step it takes...
 I pursued it to an old shack, it was completely destroyed. After days of pursuing it in this empty wasteland it stopped. It laid down on the sand, almost as if it was dead...
Was it dangerous? What wil happen once I trap it? I reached for my gun, unsure of what will happen...
 As I came closer the shadow melted, dissolved into the sand. In it's place was a skeleton, it was half in decomposition.
 I looked around, I might survive with these things for a while, not for long but just a bit longer. In the first time in these 6 days I finally felt a bit of hope, these ruins must mean that some inteligent life must live close. What if they're hostile? What if I am killed? All this will have been for nothing.
 I gathered everything I could find, a rifle that did'nt seem to be like all the other compact rifle designs I've always known, and a strangely fashioned scarf. I must be insane if I think I'll survive this mess
 but I will not die without a fight.

Cool story line but you copied my idea 0_o even though i haven't posted anything with the black figures :P If i make a comic storyline thing with those, im not copying you :P |
