My mind cannot even begin to conceive of how to make soft rounded living things in LEGO, and yet you make it look so perfect! And we also love that your whole family enjoys building together :)

Can't tell you how many squirrels I've killed since I've mooved to florida; all of them "fatal T" shots. I need to get the instructions to this! My mom loves squirrels and this would be a great present!

Hi All, Thanks for the many compliments concerning the bushy tail. A little explanation about the design of it: The tail consists out of about 30 segments. Each segment is build from 4 hook plates & 1 round plate with a axle hole in it. The axle hole of each segment is slided over the central tube. To keep the tube in the right shape a thin metal wire is inserted in the tube.

A great build in a difficult color to work with in Lego. The variety of brown parts always seems so limited. The tail design is ingenious.

Hi Cole. I assume that you live in the USA, in one of the northern states. The many black squirrels living there, belong to the "Eastern Grey Squirrel"-family: They are bigger than the Red Squirrels we have in Europa. The black variants can handle the cold better than the grey ones (the use the heat of the sun more effectively). It would be a challenge to try to make a black squirrel too. Thanks for your comment!

That's absolutely awesome! Way to go on the accuracy of the squirrel! This has to be one of my favorites for two reasons: 1) It looks just like a real squirrel 2) I love squirrels! You should make a black one too. We have a ton of those around here.
