Futuron Academy
In the crystal city, knowledge is king. This makes Futuron Academy the place to be. Many cutting edge technologies like stasis pods, advanced robotics, and groundbreaking health care advances come straight out of the academy’s labs. The professors are all original Futuron astronauts, bringing first-hand experience with them.
About this creation

As if Futuron City itself weren't exclusive enough, a place inside the academy is rare even to a citizen.

Futuron understands the importance of public spaces; the academy boasts some of the most beautiful plazas in the city. Though hovercraft and spaceships are plentiful, some students remain faithful to the traditional bicycle.

The academy is beautiful when artificial night sets in.

Here is the administrative building with one of Futuron's signature glass walkways leading to the library.

Robo is the academy “newspaper.” Though newsprint doesn’t exist anymore, the students insist on calling it the ancient name. Each hologram tablet contains a comprehensive archive of the day.

Fountains and sculptural details adorn much of the school, like this one on the base level of the administrative building.

Though it is still called the library, books no longer exist here. Students may check out portable hard drives with terrabytes of data on each one.

Many students enjoy passing time in the library's arboretum.

Here is Chancellor Yamamoto in his notorious command chair. He can perform 99% of his job from this point (a certain biological function being the only limitation).

While the academy is progressive in many ways, some old habits die hard. Similar to ancient times, the chancellor is grossly overpaid. Here we see his priceless sun themed art.

This first-aid kit has remained unused here since the academy's construction.

The lower levels contain more student facilities, including the labs, lounges, and lecture halls. Access is closely monitored.

One of many lounges on campus where students can unwind.

Though much of learning is done with digital media, nothing can truly replace the classroom experience...

…nor classroom tardiness.

Here is the biology lab. Only the best and brightest are allowed to assist staff here.

This is Paige. Stasis is her major.

Here we see minor mutations due to the freezing process. Only a B+ this time, Paige!

One of the legendary achievements of the academy is the fusion of vegetable and mineral, creating the primary ingredient in the now mandatory super-vitamin supplements. The citizens of Futuron City colloquially call them Shannon rocks.

As with the rest of the city, the academy primarily draws its power from the sun with these advanced solar panels.

Futuron Academy has some of the cleanest facilities thanks to sanitation technicians like Lou.

Stay in school kids!

An overview shot.

Please enjoy your stay in Futuron

This MOC won the honorable mention in Shannon Young's Vig/orama contest.

Undoubtedly up there with the other incredible MOC's; just pure awesome. I'd love to see more from your Futuron theme - the sheer number of clear and white pieces is overwhelming, and it creates a pure, clean aura around the entire building. Very cool city! I love the sterile white and clear motif. Nice rendition of the future, with all things digital but some of the same old themes. I don't think I could get a B+ in future Bio... dang stasis equations. The whole city reminds me somewhat of Arcosanti in Arizona... if you have never heard of that place you gotta check it out.

this is the first thing i see from you! but it won t be the last! i think what you did is marvelous! this futuron concept is worth exploring much deeper and further! you have a talent for captivation-narration- design, that is very particular! your moc reminds me of the star trek next gen scene sets design! for awhile i tought you were inspired by starfleet academy ! i adored their styles! bravo! i hope you will invest more in this theme, [a whole city!]but i understand the challenge this represents! good show! and good luck!
