KIINA OMEGA IS MY OFFICIAL ENTRY TO THE BDG "BIONICLE TRIBUTE CONTEST" (MAIN PICTURE IS MY CONCEPT ART)7 HOURS BUILD TIME
About this creation
KIINA OMEGA IS MY OFFICIAL ENTRY TO THE BIONICLE DISPLAY'S "BIONICLE TRIBUTE CONTEST"

CREATOR'S COMMENT:
KIINA OMEGA IS MY REVAMP OF THE ORIGINAL KIINA SET.
IN THIS VERSION, SHE IS PRESENTED NOW AS A TITAN.
AS A TRIBUTE TO HER, I HAVE RETAIN MOST OF KIINA'S INHERENT DESIGNS SUCH AS:
1. MASK
2. SHOULDER AND LEG SPIKES
3. HER DOUBLE SIDED TRIDENT SPEAR
4. HER UNUSUAL BODY DESIGN.
5. MOST OF THE PARTS OF KIINA
I HAVE IMPROVED THE FOLLOWING:
1. I HAVE IMPROVED HER WEAPON BUT RETAINED HER BASIC DOUBLE SIDED TRIDENT WHILE STILL INCORPORATING THE PARTS OF HER ORIGINAL WEAPONS.
2. I HAVE IMPROVED HER HELMET DESIGN BY ADDING A BLUE MASK SHIELD TO COVER HER MOUTH.
3. WHILE INCORPORATING HER ORIGINAL UNIQUE BODY DESIGN(WHICH IS NOW HER STOMACH AREA), I HAVE IMPROVED HER BODY STRUCTURE. THIS ORIGINAL BODY STRUCTURE IS VERY ORIGINAL GIVING HER THE NEEDED CURVES OF A FEMALE WHILE STILL RETAINING HER GLATORIAN LOOK.
4. I HAVE ADDED HAIR TO HER(SEE BACK AND SIDE PICTURES) TO REALLY SHOW THAT SHE IS A FEMALE.
5. I HAVE REPLACED HER GREENISH HEAD TO A DIFFERENT COLORED RED HEAD TO MAKE HER LOOK MORE POWERFUL.
6. I HAVE REPLACED HER ORIGINAL HANDS TO A MORE FLEXIBLE AND STRONGER LOOKING HAND DESIGN
7. HER FEET DESIGN IS ALSO NEW AND I BELIEVE IT ACCENTUATES HER BELONGING TO A WATER TRIBE.
AS A TRIBUTE TO BIONICLE, I HAVE INCORPORATED MANY OF THE FEATURES FROM BIONICLES FROM THE PAST SUCH AS PARTS FROM GALI, BOHROK, RAKSHI, VAHKI, NOCTURN, ETC. I HAVE EVEN INCORPORATED PARTS FROM BIONICLE MCDONALDS PROMO SETS(see hair design)
ALL IN ALL, THIS CREATION TOOK ME AROUND 7 HOURS TO COMPLETE. PERSONALLY I REALLY LIKE HOW KIINA OMEGA TURNED OUT ESPECIALLY THAT I FELT SHE NOW REALLY LOOKS MORE OF A FEMALE GLATORIAN WITH GOOD FEMALE PROPROTIONS COMPARED TO THE ORIGINAL KIINA
P.S.: IF I HAVE THE TIME, I MAY COMPLETE A COMICS VERSION WHICH I MIGHT POST HERE OR IN ANOTHER PAGE FEATURING HOW KIINA BECAME KIINA OMEGA.
THE MUSIC IS FROM THE SONG "THE DAWN" FROM DREAMTALE
I WELCOME YOUR COMMENTS ON MY KIINA OMEGA

Wow,great work. That torso is simply amazing,i love it,it is certainly my favorite part on the moc.The legs are really cool, but i think the arms are way to thin and could use some work. Also, her hair doesnt look to good, and it barely looks like a hair.
Thanks. I made the arms intentionally thin since Kiina was a girl. I didn't want a muscled Kiina. hehe. With regards to the hair, maybe I should have used just tubes but then again I tried something I think has never been done before and took the risk.

Excellent rendition of Kiina. She's also one of my favourites and I agree, it is very very hard to get the female form right, especially on a taller than most scale, where certain sacrifices have to be made just so it can stand upright lol |

Really awesome. 5/5. But something about that mouth guard makes Kiina seem a bit... I don't know... it makes her seem a bit masculine, for some reason. Maybe because it makes her look like she has a big chin, maybe? Lol. If i took out her mouth guard she would have had a much squarish jawline. Like i mentioned before I replaced her original iron man glatorian head to an old head to accomodate her hair, make her head proportionate to her body and to accomodate her mouth guard. Feminizing bionicle mocs are quite difficult indeed. |

Okay, I have a question! How do you make such big torsos? I can make awesome Toa torsos, I can scrounge by with some mediocre titan torsos, but how do you make these giant ones? I'm currently making a Toa Nui, which is about half my size, so a little less than three feet. and i have awesome realistic arms, I have ideas for the legs, the head is pretty easy, but i need a giant torso!!! What is your technique? You must have one because you make these huge mocs!!! And another question...how much for this? I will buy!!!!! :) you get 60/5 for this moc!
Thanks for your compliment. Sorry but none of my creations are for sale.
If you see my other mocs, each one has its own torso design. I seldom repeat. Kiina Omega has one of the more unique torso design that I have made. It was made to look not flat like most commercial sets or mocs here but was made to look more rounded and sexy at the same time incorporating the original body design of kiina(which is located in the stomach section of kiina omega.
Im not sure I can advise you on your torso design because it would really depend on the effect you are looking. Consider the following when building torsos for giant mocs: shape(muscular, thin, weird, sexy); stability( will it be strong enough to hold the limbs in place and give enough balance); symmetry(do I choose a symmetric torso design or not); color(what contrast or similar color design should I incorporate). Possibilities are countless. Use your imagination.

In my opinion, this looks haphazard, messy and just... urgh. Sorry. Something about this building style really doesn't work for me. Small and detailed, that's the ticket... Don't get me wrong, it's a great MOC that like you said took over 6 hours and a lot of accumulated skill, but it looks... messy. In a bad way.
Hmm... do you think she needs some more makeup and a visit to the parlor? Im not good at hair and makeup. hehe. Seriously speaking, female bio mocs are really very hard to design. Some buyers of bionicles don't even know that some sets of bionicles are females simply because they don't look one. I chose Kiina because I felt it was challenging enough and it was the least popular set among the newer set release. It took me a lot of time not really because of much detail and use of blue parts but more on where to incorporate the old blue bionicle parts(as my tribute) and at the same time build a more feminine articulated body structure without loosing her glatorian look.
Of course I know I can't satisfy everyone cuz' different mocers have different styles and build preference. Personally, since I like trying out different build style, size and execution, the originality of a build and the presentation of the moc on the page is what I look and admire. Best of all, my kids are my worst critics and at the same time best admirers of my work and part time technical advisers as well. If its good enough for them then its good enough for me to post it. That's why I love this hobby. There's always room to do something even better. :) |

Thanks dude. As a matter of fact, I'm debated between the Nth remake of Antroz (my #1 fav set ever), Krika or Chirox (I got 3 of each!), or Mistika Onua. If I had more lime green I'd have revamped Nocturn gladly... |

This is awesome! i can't remember a bionicle named Kiina, it must have been out during my technic dark ages. Anyway, you did an fantastic job on this and i love the way you kept some of her most identifiable features and made improvements to them. I can't wait to get my Tarakava revamp finished for the contest. Oh, and good luck to you :)
Kiina is the least popular among the Bionicle Glatorian and probably the most underrated latest set. However, for me it was one of the coolest since she was a female, had many new cool moc parts and incorporated a new body structure.

Wow, Harvey. This puts in the same league as Steve Puckett, and unlike his stuff, it's also very poseable! A great entry, I'll see what I can do to match it (though it's going to be some time, I'm busy with the ArcheoGenis series) :)
