Recently (October 2009) my good friend Jef Nys, world famous in Flanders as the author of "Jommeke", a comic strip for kids, passed away. Already ten years ago I built the main characters of this strip, Jommeke and his parrot "Flip" in LEGO. In the parrot's wing you see a mosaic of Jef. Jef, we miss you !

Always nice with creations with sentimental "added value"! (although I am sorry to say that I dont know this particular perso.n) Very ingenious with the mosiaic on the wing!

I am not at all familiar with the comic strip, but this definitely a fantastic build! Great idea with the mosaic!
