this is really good. It must of tooken you hours to build that. If you could, please comment on my creations. my favorite thing on that scene is the detailing you put on it like the big explosion and the broken at-te. my other favorite thing on that is the tri-droid. like i said before please comment on mine. |

Fantastic! Nothing cheers me more up than a giant Star Wars diorama. Lots of detail in here. To bad your AT-TE is blown up, I think it would look great in full glory. Your Tri droid is also very good. I think you should try to make it stand on its own. The trans-white pillar is distracting. But the trans-clear works on the explosion, I really like the effect. ~M |

Wow. I like the AT-TE! I also like the Tri-Droid, but as friendly advice, it looks kind of blockish at the top. Well what can you do? It's Lego! I like the detail as well; even if it's not yours, you used it well! Also this may sound noob-ish, scratch that it is noob-ish. i just really want you to check this out: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/168200 |

Alright, let me just say that this is amazing! The first thing that stood out was the tri-droid. It's very accurate and colorful. I love the blaster effect, though the legs seemed to be a bit bland. The Anakin on top looks nice, but I feel it would work a lot better if you gave him more movement, maybe by having him slicing at the droids head. Also, I thought it was weird how you had a huge line of battle droids, but some clones managed to escape the crowd to shoot the tri-droid from close range. Anyway, enough with critisism, now onto the compliments. I love what you did with the effects. The explosions look very realistic, and the ground is scattered with details. The downed AT-TE was just perfect, from the fire bursting out of it to the pilot trying to crawl out. The garrison of clones are pretty neat, and the droids look amazing! Great work RoboMan, these Star Wars creations take my breath away every time! 5/5 - perfection... |

Ok no joking around Fero! Robo means bussiness! WHAT! this is one of the GREATEST AND BIGGEST dioramas on the pages! wonderful for your first time. My only complaint is the ground level to to flat make it more rounder so it wont be more flat and wont be so squarish! Many I will upload my moc around December 19th. So I can get a base plate.
Fero are you certain that you will upload yours around December 19th? Because if you are maybe I can make another Diorama so we can have them on the same date. Please let me know as soon as you can so I can start working on another one |

nice but there wasnt an at te in that battle until the later stages, because in the episodes, the traitor destroye them. nice vig, though.
Look closely at the first 8 seconds of the video, focus on the background and you will see a destroyed AT-TE |

Awesome battle, with plenty of action. My favorite part is definitely the crashed At-Te. Did you build one then crash it, or is it just a customized set? Either way, great job =)
I didn't even finish the AT-TE. I was working on that and decide to add it because when I stilled the part that I was trying to capture in the video, I saw a destroyed AT-TE in the back so I figured I would add one |

I've always said, if I were going to do a "Clone Wars battle scene," I would do Christophis... not just because of the name thing, but because the buildings in the background just seemed like they'd look really good in Lego... maybe I should get on that at some point? Nice work on the blown up walker. That's the part that really stood out to me. Good luck in the Moc-Off (Moc-Off title trademarked by Chris Phipson, 2008 against Shannon Ocean... no really, it was haha) ~ Chris. |

Hehe, I knew this was coming. I'm rather talking about your building style and techniques, than the scene you depicted. Usually your building style when building Star Wars creations is above average, and I'd say that is also true for the droid and the cannon in this display, they are great creations on their own, but the whole diorama toghether somehow doesn't manage to live up to that. The diorama is just average to me. You know that I didn't intend to make your diorama bad I hope? It's not bad, but nothing special either. But I believe you could build something special.
Okay I understand what you are saying, make sense. Thanks for clearing that up hopefully I'll do something in the future but then again I guess this is why I don't make Star Wars Dioramas but you motivated me to give it a second try |

Well, not that I'm disappointed, I somehow knew that it wasn't going to impress me anyhow, but I think it's just fair that I try to tell you why. To me, the overall look of the diorama is not aesthetical. There is too much chaos going on, without a main focus though. The street looks strange. You rather should have tried a snot attempt. The studs totally ruin the look of the whole scene. It loosens the contrast and makes it hard to distinguish between street, rock, wrecked machine parts and the like. Also, it's something we have seen before and before, maybe in different colours, but I miss something special about it. That's not bad per se, you can't come up with a masterpiece each time. Still, it wouldn't hurt to see something innovative here or there. Maybe that's enhanced by my biased opinion on clones in general, but I know that some have already given proof that it can be done. I mean, you are a really good builder, but to me it somehow looks like you didn't try to come up with something of your own, but relied on previous builds by others to get your inspiration from (I'm talking about the diorama, not that huge droid, which would look great on its own). Somehow I was hoping, you would set a new standard for SW battle dioramas and make them more popular among AFOLs. But hey, next MOC, next try ;)
Well I understand what you are saying but at the same time I don't. How do you expect a builder to come up with something of there own if it is based of a certain video [As seen above]. |
|
