Been a while since I've posted anything new on MOCpages. It has recently come to my attention that all of my LEGO images on both my website and here have stopped working. *sigh*... Brickshelf. Well, I'm working on fixing that now. It'll take a while.
Ah, the Brute Chopper... slow when not boosting, not terribly agile, but
it has guns so powerful that you would use them all the time if it
weren't so much fun to just smash people. Seriously, try driving a
Chopper in a Slayer game one time and using nothing but the guns. You'll
do great score-wise, but you won't be able to resist chopping that 'hog
when it comes too close. It's kind of like "how many licks does it take
to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Pop?" You just can't resist
biting the thing. I never did like those though...
The Brute Chopper has got to be one of the strangest vehicles ever
designed. Half rolling, half hovering, with a giant wheel and blades and
thrusters and guns. When I first heard about the things, I thought I
would hate them, but the joy of chopping through a fully-manned Warthog
and getting a triple kill won me over.
Yes, decals for details. Fuss if you want, but it just looks so much
better this way.
I built this kind of on a whim. I opened up one of those new miner sets
with the giant wheels (I buy at least two or three sets from almost
every line LEGO releases, if not all of them) and thought, "This might
make a good Chopper wheel. Let's see..." Then I decided to just roll
with it, since it has been forever since I made a new Halo vehicle
anyway. The results? Well, it's a bit too big, but otherwise I like it.
Side view. The Bionicle blades above the wheel were kind of an
afterthought, but I thought it looked better with them, so I left them.
The LEGO may not be accurate in every detail, but chalk it up to
A slightly overhead view so you can see the wheel. The driver's seat
twists just like in the game, allowing for those sharp turns that flip
your vehicle completely over and ANNOY THE HECK OUT OF YOU.
"This Pelican won't turn on a dime!" You know, Halo 4 should really have
I was really glad when Bungie decided to give Brutes colorful
Covenant-looking armor. They just looked so out of place in Halo 2 that
I hated them. In Halo 3 they got the cool armor and this "pack
mentality" theme that actually made me kind of like them. Still not as
cool as Elites though.
Okay, so I'm looking for information on Brute ranks, and I end up on the
facepalm-worthy "Halo Wiki" again. Since I can't trust anything I read
there (it is full of useless information, unconfirmed conjectures, and
random un-facts), I gave up. I'm not sure if these guys are supposed to
be the highest rank or the gold-armored ones. It doesn't matter though,
because they're both awesome.
The aforementioned gold-armored Brutes actually have a sort of bronze-ish
armor (the really gold-looking ones have the plates over their mouths
and are less tough), so I wasn't sure whether to make them yellow or
tan. I decided to just make both, and let you guys decide which one you
Comparison to the Legendary figure. Yeah, I guess they have a big shield
on one arm or something, but I decided to just go ahead and put one
little one on each arm.
Comparison to the action figure. I didn't get any good shots of the
detail on top of the headdress decals... but oh well.
Please note that, in order to sit in the bike, the "loin cloth" area (as
I call it, for lack of a better word) has to be folded backwards. Don't
think about that too hard...
Proof that the Ch33f can drive it too. The handlebars have to be folded
in and the seat curled up a bit, but it's made to adjust to either fig
Side shot again. When I found the Bionicle claw that I used on the back
of the seat, I thought, "Woah... it's... perfect!" It's good to have
some Bionicle parts in the collection. The latest Bionicle series, by
the way... "Glatorian" I think it's called... are AWESOME and I highly
recommend checking them out. It's the first line since the Rahkshi that
I really thought looked genuinely cool.
Boosting! I love these new flame pieces (used primarily in the new Space
Police sets so far). Tahu's old swords just got owned.
Banshee view. Has anyone here ever chopped a 'shee? I can't say I am a
member of this elite club, unfortunately. Yeah, I'm sure there are
videos on YouTube...
Size comparison, showing you that the Chopper is, yes, too big.
Dude sick brute chopper! I love your work! How do you make your decals? Could you please tell me? If you do decide to tell me put it in the comments at www.mocpages.com/moc.php/304880 or email me at LegoWil360@gmail.com. I will be waiting so please do so! Awsome work!

Oh god, this one was amazing!! but for the most decals on the Brutes..
Saber-scorpion i need help with your website not to complain or anything but whenever i try to go to your profile on saber-scorpion.com to check if a new wulfgard cyoa is up it says i am not permitted to view accounts same thing when i try to update my profile i can see your account logged off but not logged on i have made two accounts one early this year and one about 3 days ago and both wont go on please help this is my only way of contacting you please help.
If this chopper was created by someone else, there wouldnt be as many nice comments. Just goes to show you that people think SS is the best because he has a "cool" picture and name. Seriously. Anything SS touches is holy to all fans. Heck, if he put a bunch of random colored bricks together, and called it a pelican, it would be rated 5/5. Sorry SS, you are not the best.I made a Wraith, a hornet, and an ODST drop pod out of a lunchbox full of legos(not the big lunchboxes). But you are good. Not the best, but good. Its not your fault everyone thinks your the best. Anyways, 5/5.

Ive chopped a hornet in sandtrap, and a scorpion in viale.....which did absolutely nothing but kill the front turret gunner.
Nice Chopper, I knew about your other site before I joined the pages, but didn't see you when I first joined. I didn't think to actually search your real name... Oh well. Good to see your awesome stuff where I can easily comment on it.
A 4/5 for the chopper because, like you said, it is a bit big. Not that that's bad it's just sometimes big isn't always better. In my oppinion yes its big, but it is pretty dang accurate! The decals help alot too! But you get 5/5 smileys for you AH-MAZING Brutes! Especialy the blue minor! Now, on to more important matters...how's the hornet coming along? ;P
hey justin this is a great MOC i like the chopper its my favoite halo 3 vehicle so anyway i live kind near you i live in deleware and i know that you live in virginia but anyway is your metal gear rex for sale? if so can i buy it? and if i can buy it how much would it cost? let me know please i wouldnt use it for my MOC PAGES profile just so yu know
Amazing. But the tan/brown brute is above gold, and it's helmet is VERY different. The two pointy things on the gold bruts helmet are much shorter. And there are blue brutes with the same armour as the golds. (If that made any sense) By the way, since ODST added red armourd jetpack brutes, you might whant to try making those anoying(but fun to snipe)brutes. I'll stay tuned!
I'm not sure why but I thought I'd check out MOCpages for the holidays. Since there was a link to your stuff on the front page I figured I'd see whats new. The Chopper is a nice surprise to see, I remember you hinting one way back last year. I have to say your final design is looking very refined! Great work, Merry Christmas and have a Happenin' New Year!

Check out the ODST manual! It is official. BTW I think the yellow version looks, by far, better!
amazing, I am a huge fan of your work, and this is just an incredible design good use of the bionicle pieces, also the adjustable seat is very great. Also your cheftain is awesome, did you shave down the U holder piece on the head though? anyways 10/5
I'd think that you'd agree when I say that you've stepped out of you comfort zone a bit here. Based on past experiences (that did not go well) this is a very hard build to master. You've got it down good. The shape, the colors, the parts, all good choices. I have to state though, that your real strength is and will forever be in the figs that you have created here. Great work!
WOW! I am a big fan of your Lego especially your halo and star wars creations. Have you started your hornet like you said you would? Oh and I did use your elite design on my elite I did give credit. Can you look comment and rate please? Write in Halo elite it's on the second page. Look for the name Steven Woosey otherwise! thanks, your biggest fan, Steven

At first when you said that you were trying to fix your brickshelf I didn't know what you ment the I tried going to it and it didn't work anyclue why it's not working and are you going to reupload atleast some of your creations that no longer load?
I´m glad to see that you´re still active. Besides the size, this creation is nicely accurate. Not to mention your custom brutes, which belong to the "crème de lá crème" of Halo custom minifigs! Cheers!
Loving this new Chopper. Great choice of wheels, and excellent construction on the body. I've been enjoying your Halo creations since way back in 2005. Awesome Brute Chieftan (the black one). Keep up the good work, mate.
Quoting tofuntomiss .
I would've written that originally but there's no option to comment on creations at your site. Maybe that's for the best though as it might stop spam. perhaps you could enable that in an update?
Although I don't have any comments system on my creations themselves, you can always comment on the news post in the news "blog" page. All you have to do is create a forum account. :)
Great to see ya' back on the pages! This is really great, my favorite vehicle in the game. Great idea using the PM wheel for the chopper wheel. Keep up the good work, and I (hopefully) can't wait for you to post some more new stuff!

Love it! And by the way, if you want the joy of flying a Pelican, download Halo Custom Edition. There's several maps you can get featuring Pelis such as Extinction and Coldsnap.

Saw this on your website I thought "I wonder if he forgot about moc pages" glad to have you back. I think you did a great job on this and the yellow guy looks better than the tan. now you just need to read through 8 months of comments.
great job scorp, i mnot a uber halo fan like some people, but i recognize a work of art here. all you need to do to make this right size is cut off 3 studs length and 1 or 2 studs height. great job man.
Heh, a few days ago I says to myself, "who was that guy who's site I constantly checked all those years ago... Oh! Mister Saber-scorp!" Then I checked yer website, and saw this new thing there, but it wasn't up! So then I was all, "gasp!" because I thought that there was an error that you missed or something; I hadn't considered I was too early. But, here it is :D Nice to see you're still active
Great work! I'm pretty amazed with all the stuff you packed into it! I didn't really like the decals when they popped up in the shop a few months back but when I saw them on the figs they looked great. I would've written that originally but there's no option to comment on creations at your site. Maybe that's for the best though as it might stop spam. perhaps you could enable that in an update? Just a suggestion. Is there any chance we can see more pics of the updated covenant including grunts? If you could let me know that would be awesome. Thanks!
By the way, I'm planning on placing an order from your shop soon.
