Samus Aran – adopted child of the Chozo after the brutal Space Pirate assault on K-2L that left Samus as the sole survivor. Filled with anger, Samus has defeated all opponents to reach Mother Brain, a high-ranking Space Pirate leader. Who will prevail?

My trademark Samus figure. This pose really exhibits the wide range of articulation my Samus fig has.
An above shot. I took some liberty with the exact look of Mother Brain's lair, as I wanted it to seem sleek and simple.
For the retro-gaming fans out there, a side-view. I've done my best to capture the 2-D feel of the side-scrolling Metroid games, while still making the creation seem appealing in 3-D.

Well, in the original Metroid there were turrets shooting at you; in Super Metroid, there are turrets also, and Mother Brain has a second form; and in Zero Mission, she shoots a powerful beam at you, so it's actually more difficult to defeat than you might think! |

this was definatly my favorite part of super metroid. i know you fight mother brain in metroid, but i haven't played that game yet. my favorite part is actually when you fight mother brain after she/it reveals her/its body. i think it is another example of how nintendo makes the gameplay and the storyline fit so perfectly together. it's so awesome when the baby metroid (that has grown up) comes and saves you, but then mother brain kills it. then you get the hyper beam and get your revenge on the mother brain! i love that game! |
