I like this alot! Very detailed! And exactly why do you hate the gunners? And your custom fig looks a lot like Commander Bly in Phase I! And it also takes place in Felucia! It's a perfect fit!

Ok,now that I'm looking back at my other comment it doesn't make sense,you're gonna need to cut out a hole for the neck to fit also... :/ I hope this helps...

Well,first of all,you're gonna need a backpack,some paper,and a Lego pauldron,then you're gonna wrap the paper over the pauldron so that it's almost like you're tracing it,or,of course,you can trace it,then,you know how there's a notch thingy that makes the backpack go on to the neck?well you're gonna kinda trace that on the pauldron and then cut it out,then,(geez,this is REALLY HARD TO EXPLAIN)ok,so then,you're gonna sorta slide them together and then put it on (make sure that you color you pauldron the way you want it or else it looks dumb)I know this all doesn't make much sense,but I'll have to post a tutorial on it...
