A long time ago, far far away, in an era of swords and dragons...
Legonia, Bay of Eternity, 1008 o.C.
(old Chronology)
It all began after a time of battles between dwarves, elves and dragons, when a wize wizard organized a secret gathering between selected Dwarfs, Elven and human. He commanded them to search the world for the most unique materials to make something that would help defeating evil and lead the world to prosperity
from the deepest cave...
From the highest mountain...
from worlds unknown...
Materials were collected from the most extended locations.
All metals were melted and blended together, forming a new substance, which already had magical proporties.
The liquid was cast in shape. What was being made would become one of the most unique items in this world, for no one was ever been able to melt some of the rare metals.
Those metals could only be melted at extremely high temperatures. A demonic dragon lent its unique ability for this purpose,
he was the only creature capable of performing a flame hot enough.
When the substance became somewhat solid but still too hot to come near, the forging started. The only ones capable of performing at such extreme heat were the Cyclops, hard as stone and strong as a mountain. Instructed by a master dwarf they gave the sword its shape.
During the forging, Elven magic infused the sword with purity powers.
The sword had been put in a temple to cool down. It took almost a year for the sword to stabilize. A forging had never been so unusual.
The first one to touch the final sword was a human, not so wise and reckless at that time, by swinging the sword only once it unleashed a destructive fiery beam.
What was supposed to bring peace seemed to be an instrument of destruction, a tool that might feed the war-intended.
Such a great power should not be granted easely, it's future wielder would have to face trials in order to obtain it.
The power of the blade was drained by 8 elemental stones. Those stones were hidden throughout the country and appeared as diamonds in treasures, soon their true power became forgotten...
There was only one human witnessing the forging, at that time humans were a young race, not capable of any magic and living in small tribes. Though this human played an important role in this story, while the rest of the races sweared silence after the gathering, the human openly bragged about when he got back in his home village.
The story has been passed down for ages untill now it's just a mere legend, a bedtime story.
There are still witnesses alive though, while Elven, Dwarven and humans have a limited lifetime and the Cyclops appear as death statues not responding to anything now, the demonic dragon is a creature that cannot die unless being slayed, it is an ancient creature, invulnerable to any kind of weapon.
Even its whereabouts are known but no one has ever returned (alive) from the cave in Dragonia Vulcania...
Present...
I'm telling you this tale because I think the blade from the legend really excists and I believe mankind will need the blade, an evil is growing in the East. when orcs infests our lands it won't be possible anymore to go looking for it.
I'm asking You to secure the blade and collect the elemental stones.
Let the power of good conquer the evil again.
The reason I'm so sure about the blade's excistence is this gem, it is one of the eight elemental stones from the legend. It houses a power I don't understand but I bet it will react when you bring it in contact with the Blade, it will help you recognize the blade, Take it.
Be discrete with your search, humans could turn into enemies worse than monsters, selfishness and greed are evil demons.
Now go and do not turn back...

Wow, this is really awesome! I can't wait to see more! BTW, I'm not asking you this for comments, but I want to get your opinion on this MOC: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/180467
In response to the "fishy peoples" they will be called Temp'la, and they will reserve the dark blue stone... ;o) Hope it helps with your story. I'll get everything up in a moc sometime, then you can ask more questions.

When I recently got my hands on (as far as I know) all different colored diamonds, I also wanted to make a story about them! But I didn't have enough inspiration to come up with a good story :( Your different creations/kinda previews look very cool. I'm already looking forward to the next moc in your new fantasy style.
well, I have actually nine different diamonds, (I aslo have a clear one) but I there might be more colors available

Epic stuff- Sebeus- do you really have so many different colored versions of that sword? Btw isn't it strange that evil always comes from the east?
I actually have 6 different colored versions of that sword, in fact, the fact that I have so many inspired me to make a forging, later I came up with a heroic story and now I'm writing down the story
awsome!great work.i hope you add fire elves in the next creation you make using the great sword.(maybe the fire elves could be holding 1 of the gem stone things)
As creator of Legonia i would add, that there's evil from all sides of the world in Legonia's history, but i put the orcs into the east. And yes, it's partly inspired from LotR but also other fantasyworlds like Aventurica/Arcania (the dark eye P&P).

well, the story takes place in a world quite similar to lord of the rings so it was already settled, but if it wasn't I would have made the evil come from the West ;)
Really nice Sebeus! I usually love your creations by their design and innovation (or detail) but this time, you created a great story and you represented it well. One question: The wizard is still alive, am I not correct? I didn't understand that part... NICE WORK!

Good story start. Curious now. Nice sets and the cyclops are fun. Why do people keep inventing those swords? Guess it's to give the hero something to do but farming. see ya. garth
I know, I thought about that, there already are a lot of stories about legendary swords but don't worry, my story will be unique, you'll see...

Wow, it's epic. Story, narration, building. I'll await the series and add the event in my timeline. My next Legoniateaser is coming this or next week but my sets aren't that good.
Wow! Reminds me not only of Lord of the Rings but also of this book series called "Deltora Quest" Where this man sets out to find the 8 hidden jewels of Deltora. Fantastic premise i can't wait for the sequel!
This is really nice, at the time I was reding this I was hering the music from tsk tsk tsk deprecing, I think you know that moc its on the most popular this week or something, It is really good with that musicand thius.
