The trolls have numerous excavation sites near their city. They are trying to uncover as much of the remains of the Ancient's labrynth city, searching for answers of the past and powerful artifacts. This particular excavation site is home to a portal, which seems to be of great worth to the troll's Master...

About this creation

Heres a top view of the whole set.

Dig supplies and the sort.

I removed the top layer for better shots. Here is the portal itself.

A look at the staircase.

Heres the bottom layer. This was my first attempt at SNOT water. I attached the rocks with multi-sided bricks.

Well, thats it for this set. Im tearing it down along with every other "Risen" set still alive (except for one Ill need later) to make way for and get peices for the next big set for the next chapter.

Good build strategy: modular construction that allows you to build in segments+play with your creation. The SNOT is good, but I would add some white plates around the rocks just to give it a more dangerous look. MEP
