as far as I can tell, all the Chinese characters are correct. The one for sauna says "warm spring" I believe, which is correct for the time this MOC depicts, as warm or hot springs were the source for saunas at that time in many areas. I ESPECIALLY like the traditional lion you built. You nailed it amazingly well. Where are you living now? If you have a preference for Asian stuff, you should check out my page, as I only build Asian stuff, mostly iconic skyscrapers in large scale (about 2 meters tall). I know, I know, it's a shameless plug for my MOC's, but I only do this when people post Asian-themed stuff and I think they are living in Asia, so they'd have a special level of appreciation for it. Okay, now back to your EXCELLENT MOC. This is so creative in so many ways. Your dock looks great, and I agree that the mis-matched pieces are very appropriate for a pirate's cove type of place. No effort was placed on aesthetics in that time, it was all about functionality. Again, and I know it's been said before, but the hands used as straw thatching is genius! Pure genius! The round door is cool too. Thanks for comment and invite for an asian group- so many times people forget the eastern world completely when thinking about the word "history" I don't want to underestimate them and i don't live in asia i'm from Finland (btw "sauna is finnish tradition and word i actually took sauna after picturing this ;P- still i know that both word and tradition are from the Russia- still it probably comes from the tradition of other Finno-Ugric people there).... I thought i'm the only one who writes so long comments... |

Nicely done, I like the detail you've put in, there's a lot going on in this haven, great job, btw, the term Ninja refers to an elite rang in some samurai clans, they had nothing to do with the blackclothed masked men like most people think about them, atleast that's what I've heard |

wow. this is amazing. i am chinese and have experienced quite alot of chinese culture, (and so far, as i can tell, the chinese words that you printed of the internet were right, and correct to the region-south china- hence the traditional characters. the details are really really good and i can see that you spent alot of work on this moc. good job! |

@Swash OK I understand, but personally I dislike dubbing, subtitles are better=)
Finnish don't usually dub at all -except child's program's it helps to understand and speak english and it actually seems funny to see dubbed movies if you aren't used to that... |

hye swash have you ever thought of doing some sort of ninja vs pirate battle in one of these enormous mocs, just as a little suprise
LOL a classic question which are better- inlike pirates more but ninjas are cool too- still i think that ninja vs. pirate duel would be like the duel between Indiana Jones and Cairo Swordsman- Ninja jumps from the shadows and do some cool fighting moves to frighten the pirate- but pirate pulls his flintlock and... |

Nicely done, I'm not a fan of just placing random bricks all over the place, but you seemed to do it pretty well. Great crowded feel to it! -Dylan
Random bricks all over? That was not my meaning- if you mean the docks i made it to make it look like it is built from a random timber (as stilts usually are - they aren't meant to look symmetrical but to hold the build complete) or what do you meant with "random bricks" i made this two weeks no lazy "random building" here i hope... |

You should do the scene from the beggining of worlds end, when the brits attack.
For that (i may do it) i should build actual Singapore this one is not accurate- just inspired by it btw it is my fav scenes from the World's end (as is Maelstrom battle as well- checked out my lego re-enactement yet?) |
