I'm surprised no one has tried to model one of these yet; ever since I played FF7 in 2005, I've wanted to model one of these. With the disassembly of some older MoC's, I finally had enough of the correct bricks to do so.
I've had a RED version of this displayed at an earlier Baylug meeting, but never posted online. The actual locomotive should be a silver gray, but the most convenient substitute is black.
The wheelbase is articulated 4-2-2-2-4 and can handle switches, curves, and everything in between (And by that I mean straight tracks). Originally, I had some chunky LGB drivers, but those have since been replaced with BBB wheels.
THANK YOU !!!! I absolutely loved FF7 when it came out and the train is where it all began. That you put this into LEGO reality is a big thing and I for one really appreciate the effort. I think it looks great!
