Leader of a once proud tribe of Vorox that ended up at war with Malum's.
About this creation
Once a rogue male, cast out from his group, he was captured by a random Tajunite ((Let's say... Berix's uncle)) and had experiments conducted on him. He was given golden Tajunite armour, and had several mechanical extensions built into his body - the most obvious being a retractable thornax cannon, and a lot of exposed gears, which are constantly turning.
Araneus (Based off the Latin word for Spider. Scorpion hasn't changed too much from its latin roots, so I didn't use that.) carries a double-bladed sword, designed so it can be twirled and cut with both edges at once, like a circular saw (Unlike Brutaka's Klingon-like weapon). It is the most formiddable to Sand Tribe weaponry. If that isn't enough, he has a clawed tail capable of crushing rocks, a retractable launcher in his shoulder that deals monumental amounts of damage, two retractable claws in his left arm, and a chain club strung with beads.
He is also one of the most learned of Vorox, having grasped a large amount of the Glatorian language from Berix's uncle...
...One night, when the village was sleeping, the Tajunite engineer was working on Araneus again. Little did he know, the Vorox's body had become used to the anaesthetic he was using, and Araneus grabbed his throat suddenly in his mechanically enhanced claws, and broke his neck. He then proceeded to eat him - ripping him apart like a skrall child over his first naming-day present.
He escaped into the desert, and then eventually ended up challenging the alpha male of another tribe. He won - effortlessly. His enhancements let him rip the other vorox apart like tissue paper...
...And until the appearance of Malum, his tribe was the most powerful on Bara Magna. Once gaught up in a tribe war with the rogue glatorian, however...
...Only 8 members of his tribe survive.
This was made because of nostalgia. I wanted to see coggy glatorian, like the first sets in 2001. Araneus here is the result ^^ Also, I had 2 Onewa Hordika sets for some reason...
He's now deceased :( Or is he going to be brought back to life, and rebuilt? I think it's good you picked up with Trescipus however, so heres some tips in case you decide to make him: He's quite sarcastic, quite bulky, one horn, larger than your average Juggernaut, has a small spidery thing called Orcum. (also has silver and black(bley maybe?)as a colorscheme) but feel free to change, considering he is now your character, sorry if I sound a little commanding XD
Much more awesome than the official Vorox, it has a sort of wastelander look to it. And by that, I mean it looks like it's built to survive in the deserts of Bara Magna. Very nice. :)
