The Bionicle world has now turned “smaller” with the introduction of the Bionicle Micronites, a new line of bionicles that deviates from standard build designs.
Unlike smaller promotional sets from Lego, the new Micronites looks just like the standard toa sets but it comes in a much smaller size. Cute.
Compared to the Agori sets that contain just 15 to 20 parts, Micronites are not only smaller looking(less than 6 inches in height) and they are definitely made to look more proportionate and cuter as well.
Despite its small size, Micronites have more than 60 parts compared to Agori sets with only 15 to 20 parts and standard toa sets at 50plus parts.
With more parts in such a small package, Micronites look different from the standard sets. Head, body and limb build designs are unique for the Micronites. What’s even more cool is that each of the three Micronites shown here have different body designs making them unique in their own ways.
Because of the numerous small parts of the Micronites, build time is even challenging than building bigger
Bionicle designer Harvey Cu had this to say with regards to the Micronites he created,
“I wanted an entirely different bionicle look for the Micronites. In designing the Micronites, I wanted to break the perception that smaller Bionicle sets are simplistic, bland and not challenging enough to build. In addition, Micronites needed to still look cool, cute yet tough enough to still be able to kick some bigger foes butts!”
So, do you think Micronites would succeed as Bionicle’s new theme?
Its up to you to decide.

Hey Harvey, I built a Micronite, And It's Posted, Here's a link:http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/168034 I'd really like it if you would comment, It even got blogged! I hope you like it! I gave you credit, of course!
Okay, I just built a Micronite, Ironite, and Will post soon. He's all Gray, Black, and silver. I tried to make him as similar to these as possible, and I think I did really well! He has Bluenite's eyes and feet. Well, the feet are similar, but different. I hope you like it! (I didn't post yet)

These are good considering you're not used to small MOCs. I've been waiting a long time for other builders to do this sort of thing, besides me ^^ *cough*abgrundtief*cough*
Thanks. Building the Micronites was not easy because I wanted to each have a unique look. Parts was quite limited as well. All in all, combined they probably took me the same time to conceptualize, build, take pictures and post as compared to my much more bigger mocs. Whew!
