3 months in the making, around 20 000 bricks used in construction.
About this creation

It is the year 1567. The kingdom is at it's end. The wild horde is charging from both east and west. King Dave the 3rd spent almost all of his remaining fortune to build this impenetrable fortress to save his family and himself (and of course some of his loyal subjects). He fled here a couple of days ago while his army was struggling to keep the kingdom together. The fortress is built in the middle of the Kelsian sea, famous for it's sharp cliffs and high salinity which supports almost no life. It is in these harsh conditions that the brave King Dave decided to build his greatest fortress as a testament to his power and family legacy. Partly to strike fear into the hearts of his enemies, and partly just because he could. History will always remember his famous words: "Let it be known that I, in my divine grace, do not recognize kebabs with mild sauce to be of any worth. The castle is quite nice, by the way."
In this moment of great peril, while the brave king contemplates his next move, his wife Stacy and daughter Klementina are resting in their garden talking about their great father/grandfather, Dr. Jones, famous for inventing the "Jones' Hot Hot Dog," which, as we know nowadays, happened by pure accident, while he was investigating some "serious matter" in the village of Sacred Three Deities. Meanwhile, the much revered Reverend Philson grieves the loss of his sisters in God, the emancipated juvenile order of St. Heather. Their poor virgin souls lost during a surprise horde attack on Castle Rock (Yes, the OLD one).
What has destiny in store for our brave heroes? Will the castle guard, led by the virtuous Captain Nannananan succeed in defeating the fearsome enemy?
See all that, and more, in the next episode of: "How I bought your brick"
Story by Grguric&Chop inc.
It has a 9V technic lights installed for the night mood.

It's not too many, and no, I won't count them. I know some approximate numbers already. Only in the water there are around 2000 1x2 trans-clear plates and 1000 trans-blue tiles. More than 1000 black cheese slopes are built in the roofs. And that's only a small part of the whole construction. I also thought that I won't need so many pieces but I was wrong. It took lots of BL orders to finish it.

Superb. I have no idea how you made that huge arch but it looks great.
First of all, no LEGO pieces were harmed or bent. Those are just regular 1 x 2 bricks. Try to put them together, and you will see that each one has a slight tolerance between, so when you combine them together you can easily bent them into arch. The only problem is to connect them to the rocks. There is lots of technic used through entire rock to keep the arch in place from not going back to the straight line. And in the middle of it they're connected with technic pins to get the studs (and then 2x2 tiles) on both sides. Here is another example of this technique used. http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/94439 This one is the whole circle so it was easier to hold it together. I hope I explained it well. And thank you all for the great comment! :)

Incredible! Stunning detail, outstanding build! 3 months…your patience surpasses mine by about 2 month and 3 weeks. I really like the support beams on the bottom of turret overhanging the cliff. (Photo # 23 down from the main.) Working lights were another great touch. All the details, simply amazing. So in other words, I like it. |

I almost like this one more than your older one. I think this one is just BURSTING with detail and interests. My particular favorite is the Dolphin but the arches and architecture are close rivals. |

Quoting Nathaniel Vendt
is Captain Nannananan a reference to Nannan Z? Just wondering.
Who? No! All the characters are purely fictional. |

Some of my favorite parts: the wet sand technique (awesome), the wood-struts that support the rounded portico, and there's this one part (on what I'm going to call the backside) where you had a three-sided extension and some tough roof-work, but you pulled it off brilliantly. The texture throughout is really outstanding. I truly enjoyed viewing this creation and appreciating all the work you've put into it over the last three months. |

I love it. The way you indented parts of the walls only half a stud, the blocks along the top of the walls, the rounded supports that just flow right into the columns, everything, is perfect. I can see why it took 3 months. But, seriously?? ONLY THREE MONTHS!? It would take me 3 YEARS to do that. Amazing work of art. I have to agree with someone else that commented, it looks like you just took pictures of a real castle and posted them. |

I was so engrossed in admiring the build I skipped the text earlier. Now that I read it ... hilarious! There were a shady cast of characters there, especially Reverend Phipson... Good Lord, it is the end of the world! ... King Dave's famous words: "Let it be known that I, in my divine grace, do not recognize kebabs with mild sauce to be of any worth..." AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! |

This is the best castle I ever saw. You kicked some castle builder's axe this time. I bet Eggy will be biting off his own testaments after seeing this. |
