Battle on the South China Sea

Ok this is a little battle scene i made between Hóng Long and Rotterdam- sorry about bad quality in some pics it was hard to capture on film...
About this creation



Voc Rotterdam is sailing the South China sea bound to the home Holland...

"Sail ahoy!" (speaking Dutch of course- sorry but i don't speak it)

"Looks like chinese junk with completely red sails..."

"That is not good they are probably pirates- raise all sails!"

Sailor: "I'm sorry Kapitein("sir" or "captain" is just are too english like)we have raised all sails already- but we cannot make very good speed with all the cargo we have...

Captain: "We cannot abandon our precious cargo..."
Captain of the Guard: "Then we have to fight..."
"For the Holland then!"

Chinese pirate (speaking chinese of course- i don't speak it either): "Captain there is ship ahead- looks like merchantman of the westerners" Huang Pao: "Excellent- at last a good prize i am so tired to robbing fishermen"


Cpn. Pao: It looks that they are lacking defensive cannons from the stern of the vessel...


On the deck of the Rotterdam: "Ready the guns!" "Guns ready!"

Cpn of the guard: This is not going to end well- pirates of these waters are well equipped, bloodthirsty and exteremely dangerous!
Captain: "We have to try to save our lives and our precious cargo "

Surprisingly quickly Hóng Long catches up the Rotterdam...

...And opens fire right to it's decorated stern...

"Take cover!"


Cannonfire destroys the stern...

..same cannonball destroys the captain's great cabin...

...And another accurate shot causes mizzenmast to fall...

Hóng Long turns very quickly and ships are now side to side...

Now it is Rotterdam's turn to give it's broadside- it has more cannons than the Long but they are also smaller...

...Unfortunately for the dutch it caused just minor damage to the railing of the Long...

But chinese have one plan to use- archers open fire... or well shoot their arrows...


...Causing death to many sailors

Long closes the Rotterdam...

...Pirates use their grapple hooks...

And swing themshelves to the deck of the Rotterdam...

Brief but bloody fight starts...

Dutch fight bravely but pirates have an upper hand- their crew is much bigger and battlehardened...

Captain of the guard is attacked by the bloodthirsty liuetenant of the Huang Pao...


Once a great swordsman captain of the guard has become old and don't match for the young fierce pirate....

There is no other choice for the Captain than surrendering....

Soon pirates start to move their loot to their junk and Captain Pao arrives.... Chinese pirate Liuetenant ( i think i spelled that wrong) : "These are the survivors will we kill them all?" Pao: Not this time we need reputation to avoid most these battles- and we cannot get any if we always kill everyone- so let them row back home with that ridiculous sampan of theirs (evil laughs)

H'ong Long sails away after pirates have scuttled the Rotterdam...

"Could have been alot worse Kapitein we survived!" "Shut up and row sailor- it is a long way to Batavia!"

Better salvage some food for the trip....

"Hey guys wait for me!"


So this is how career of the beautiful Voc Rotterdam ended -
R.I.P Rotterdam one of the best ships i have ever built...



Rat is like "What the **** just happened?!"



Where are Huang Pao going? To the secret haven of the chinese pirates (coming as my next pirate moc ;P)






Sorry about bad pics possible grammar or spelling errors and simple story- (and sorry Steef- but pirates never attack if they aren't sure that they will win- maybe some dutch pirate hunter will revenge what happened to the Rotterdam...)
