Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Custom
About this creation
My latest creation, The mighty LP560 customized by Kin's Garage. Information quoted from Wikipedia:
It is powered by a new 5.2L V10 with gasoline direct injection, with improved power and torque. The engine is heavily based on the new Audi RS6 V10. Unlike the precedent engine, this engine no longer has split crankpins, so it is not even firing, but Lamborghini says that due to the stiffer crankshaft it has less vibrations than the previous engine.
Transmission choices include six-speed manual or a six-speed E-gear, with E-gear revised to change gears by a rotational selector instead of a fore/aft movement, which offers 40% quicker shifts. E-gear also added Corsa setting and Thrust Mode launch control system.
The car was also 20 kg (44 lb) lighter than 2008 base Gallardo. Other changes include a new front bumper influenced by the Murcielago and exterior lights influenced by the Lamborghini Reventón.
Gallardo LP 560-4 has base price of US$198,000, but can go over $322,000 with e-gear, carbon ceramic brakes, navigation and other options. Other factory options are available with Ad Personam program. The British version has MSRP of £147,330.00 ($235,730 USD), including NavTrak vehicle tracking system and delivery package.
The vehicle was unveiled at 2008 Geneva Auto Show.
In an episode of Top Gear, the LP 560-4 managed a lap of 1:19.5, faster than the Ferrari F430 Scuderia, the Nissan GT-R, and its counterpart, the Lamborghini Murciélago LP640.
The first production LP560-4 was built with help of Automobile Magazine journalist.
The first US car was sold in 16th Annual Race to Erase MS charity auction for $270,000 to former True Religion Jeans co-founder/co-creator Kymberly Gold and music producer Victor Newman.
Trivia:
When building the headlight, it is a big headache for me, the angle and shape is painful. Then it comes to the C-pillar which is another big headache. With the short supply of hinge, I have to dig out my old buddy - the finger hinge to make it. The scissor doors is really a fun one and of course, credit goes to Firas and the side vent is heavily inspired by Sven Bode's Gallardo. Note that the rear light is copied from Firas's version. Credit goes to him. The bumper is slightly modified to improve air flow hence increase downforce.

That's great. Without the spoiler this scale model will look like a new age ferrari. I don't say I dont like it because it doesn't look as a Lambo, it does look like a Lambo and I like it. If you want to Change your design into Ferrari or some other car, you can apply some quick changes to this one. |

Hey, oldest friend on Mocpages ;-). As I already told you on flickr, this one is easily your best one yet...hm, maybe the 512M is as good as this. I really like the crazy custom doors - it's a welcomed difference to all the standard Gallardos turning up here. And Sven says "Thanks" for all the credits you gave him. Much appreciated. Greetings to Malaysia, Jens |

Wow, this is a very well tuned Gallardo. The Gallardo itself is already overwhelming but the tune jube makes it even better. The best tune job is to make the car look and ride better, and this is a perfect model to give an impressium how you must tune a car ;). |

Great model my friend, one of the best Gallardo(s) I've ever seen, everything looks great for me, except the front should be a bit shorter and the front windshield should be bit taller, but still a fantastic car, thanks for the credit; kind of you :) keep it up my good friend >>> peace.. Firas |

Looks perfect and really well presented. You're a professional, very talented car builder. Maybe Firas' inheritor? ;) (don't know, you've been one of the best since I know you) |

Very cool. Does it have functional Steering or did you cheat for the pictures by taking the wheels off the axels?
