after 42 years of service as flagship of the fleet the starship uss savannah was withdrawn from service. in its place stood a similar ship to the savannah class. it has all the capabilitys and wepons of the savanna class with modifications including 8 quantum torpedo launchers on the nacelle pylon and the neck, 10 phaser cannons, a brand new proto type warp core, a new deflector array and a much more reliable defense grid. the launch of this new vessel was intended to carry on the sucsess of the savanna and was given the regestry ncc 81691-A and named the USS SAVANNAH A.
