Two Fed Ex delivery vans... one is 6-studs wide, the other is 4-studs wide.

About this creation

I've seen a few done before, so I thought I'd try my hand at creating a FedEx van.

The neat thing about the larger one is that the whole van was built upside-down ... that is, all the studs face downward (except the roof & windshield). I also made some FedEx logos in photoshop and taped them onto the van, which give it a great effect.

The second van is more standard, and is 4-wide to better fit the scale of my city.

Here is the 6-wide truck; the first of the two that I'd built. The diamond plate on the front grille is actually attached with silly putty. (I know, I cheated.)

The back of the 6-wide Fed Ex van. The labels are poorly attached - with scotch tape! I later discovered that glue sticks are perfect for the job. (And used them on the other van below.)

Here you can see that the entire body of the truck (except the roof) is actually built upside-down.

I use this mechanism to attach the steering wheel and seat to the upside-down base.

I liked the way the backs of these wheels look better than the front, so I invented this method of attaching them backwards.

Very good.I had just made one because I got Fedex labels so I made one.Unluckly it fell down the stairs.Next time try to make the steering wheel on the left side and leave the door open.

The vans themselves are excellent, down to the detail with the diamond plackards - very creative! The one drawback to these models is how the stickers are made; transparent printer labels or waterslides would makde the models all that much cooler!
