I've seen a lot of great Tumblers on MOC but only 1 with Batpod transformation. I took my "Lego" Tumbler figuring I could tweak it to fit a custom Batpod. It ended up looking like a mess so I re-started from ground zero and finally created what you see here. The only thing that's similar to Lego's Tumbler is the scale for minifigures, everything else is custom designed.
This set with instructions is available, see link at bottom of page.
Enjoy the video & comic strip below. Please rate & comment too, thanks!
I got this from you a while back and finally decided to build it. This is an amazing creation, the size, details and the use of the lego to create the body styling. It was a tedious build but well worth it. Thanks heaps.
This is superb! The only thing I can see is that, in the movie, doesn't the bat pod use two of the tumbler's wheels? I can understand how that would be difficult, but it would be totally awesome if you could work that in! Still great though!
5/5 I love the tumbler and this is one of the best moc's of it I have seen. Love the details, love the model, great work, maybe you could build a bat cave for it to sit in.
Nothing else than excellent! I'm proud of the fact that Lego keeps overwhelming people with original and inventive ideas in the most diverse ways.
I like the storyboard-like explaining.
Wow, this Tumbler is awesome! looks identical to the real tumbler and GREAT illustrations! It would be even more cool if you made a comic with this Tumbler...
My comment:
Great creation! I love the Batpod transformation, the weapons hub, just... everything about it!
To the comment below mine:
I doubt he'll make instructions. But still, he COULD make instructions and sell them on eBay. He could make good money off of that because no one would buy his Tumbler, despite how cool it is.
All of the things you make are awesome. You are right, the safety pin IS handy, I accedentaly shot myself in the eye. Six wings are cool, if LEGO is going to post Batman merchandise, they should do it right! The transformation is cool! Could you post instructions for all your Dark Knight mocs? It would be nice!
Fantastic design, I really like how you've animated some of the scenes to show us the features of this creation. Nice work. -Dylan

"Current Lego Tumbler owners will really appreciate this. Chances are, they shot themselves accidentally many times before." Haha. So true.
Excelent job btw. Best Tumbler all over MOC. It's also the best editing job on MOC. I agree with the guy who wrote before me though about the wheels making up the Bat Pod.
Just for next time, I noticed there were many words with no "s" at the end of them.

Amazing. The only thing I noticed: wasn't the bat-pod made of the front wheels of the tumbler, not an extra hidden set? Still, outstanding. Crazy accurate, man.
=) I actually do have another design with the current Batpod body using the Tumbler front wheels. Just that the wheels is bigger than Batman minfig and throw off the balance, looking like Batman is riding on just 2 big wheels. But I might still post the pictures later on..

Yeah, this really just makes me sad. It's so good, and makes my tumbler feel bad that it doesn't have a batpod launching system. I love the baterang in the cockpit, what an awesome idea.
Wow, you've put so much time and thought into this project. It looks and functions a million times better than the official set. Love the transforming feature and the wings are really sweet.
He's a man dressed up like a bat in the sweetest vehicle ever. He's batman. The absolute best Tumbler I've ever seen! I love all the mechanisms! ~Blake~
WOW..... thats all I can say.... So accurate. Safety first eh? I've built a tumbler but it doesn't even compare to the LEGO company's Tumbler. Yours is unbelievable!!! Outstanding Job!
See, this is why LEGO fans sometimes complain... now why couldn't they commission YOU for LEGO's official Tumbler :)? In other words, best, most accurate Tumbler ever.
That's an awesome creation and adaptation on the Bat pod. Btw I really like all the time you've managed for the art work of your page, great presentation. Keep on going ! :-)

awwwwwhhh.....derectionssss. godly perfection. im not a big batmzan fan but i..i..i, GOTTA HAS ONE!!!but wait why is there a peg in the rockit luncher? were you shooting to many people?
It's hard to describe without owning a Lego's Tumbler, but you would need to look closely at Lego Tumbler's missile launcher. It's difficult to tilt the launcher upward without accidentally firing the missile & first time owning one, chances are the owner probably shot themselves many times. So for the custom Tumbler I added a safely peg.
