I finally decided Im done with this ship. after making it longer of course!
About this creation
I got the idea to make the ship longer when my friend Andy Kucenski opened a cruise ship contest in his group The Lego Sailors so I made my cruise ship longer to better its chances of winning. I swear to you, this will be the final version of this ship. It now stands at 2 feet long, and I would risk its stability even more if I attempted to lengthen it again. Well, here it is in all its glory
side view
other side view
The front Deck, over the bow.
The bridge, with sensors and what-not on top.
The rear deck, with the hot tub and palm tree.
The most noticeable part of the new expansion, the giant glass window atrium on the stern.
These large windows extend down to the lower deck as well as the top deck.
now lets review the entire ship shall we?
The bottom deck
The cargo and luggage storage room.
The mail room.
(These two pics are weird, I have absolutely no idea what happened to them in uploading.
The fuel storage room.
With the new expansion I enlarged the engine room. Maybe I should have made some more machinery for all that open space there.
The second, sleeping quarters, deck.
All the regular staterooms, of which there are 8, each sleeping 1 person.
the single suite, which sleeps one couple. This ship has bed space for ten passengers.
There are also two of these bathrooms on this deck.
The new expansion gave me space for two more frroms on this deck, and since that aforementioned large window extended down in this area, I couldn't put in more staterooms. So I made sitting rooms, with a bench on either side looking out that large window.
The porter stares out the window from a sitting room on his break.
The top deck and first floor of the super structure.
The restaurant again.
The tiny kitchen.
I expanded the casino, it was cramped before, and now there is more furniture.
Including the bar next to the card table here.
And as a bonus, I made this micro version of the ship.
I got this idea on a cruise I took this summer. There was an exact model of the boat on the boat, so I made this model of my cruise ship and added it here in the atrium.
stand-alone shot of the micro boat.
plus, this small boat is also Blocktropolis compatible.

My what lovely pictures he takes!

Super job! The giant windows are a great idea, it makes your ship look more magestic. Your sig-fig was right to take pictures outside, not in the sitting room. Argh, it keeps on focusing the spots on the glass! By the way, that means you are'nt going to make any more cruise ships, or you're done updating this one?
done updating this one, and no more giant boats until after the aircraft carrier! |
