This here is La Palma Island, a tiny speck of land in the middle of the Carribean. The island has been inhabited by a single pirate for the past ten years. The pirate uses the island as a trading post, and has profited off the local pirate fleets for many years.
About this creation
A frontal view of the island.
A view from the top. As you can see, space is at a premium on this island.
Another view of the shelter's top. A few years ago, the pirate bought (and mounted) a full-sized cannon. As one would expect, this cannon has deterred all local pirate ships from attacking.
Here is the island's low-tech but effective rainwater collection system.
As you can see here, the pirate built a ladder to access the roof of his shelter.
The cannon sits on the roof, armed and ready for combat.
