Garthan is a student in the warrior guild of Kangin Island. He has never actually gone into war but has heard a lot about it from Norman(to be posted later) and is going for a rather high degree in beast mastery. He carries an ordinary sword and shield (he's not allowed enchanted ones yet)and is rather good in swordplay but often forgets that he has a shield.
