...the last thing I remember is the fog...I was flying in the Tin-Plate Birdcage...and then there was a bang...
About this creation

When I came to, I was still sitting in my little steam-flyer, the Tin-Plate Birdcage. 4th Wall: **A nice Wellington-Bernz 1893 Model 201** There was one small difference: my flyer was lodged in the side of a floating rock. After about 15 minutes of waiting for my head to clear, I decided to try to climb to the top of the rock to get the lay of the land.

This proved nearly fatal - a railing gave way, and I found myself dangling thousands of feet above the ground. Darn those floating rocks!

I don't know how I survived, but I did.

It took a few minutes to get to the top of the rock. When I got there, I was immediately struck by the lack of any type of government-issue marker plate.

I was stuck on a floating rock in an unexplored section of the floating rock fields.

I was lost.

I don't really know how long I lay there. To thinkl: I was never going to see Suzie or my flat back in Berkeshire again! It seemed like hours until, too spent to cry, I pulled myself together. This is when I made a decision - I was going to make it, and I was going to see Suzie's face one more time. My mind made up, I went back to my wrecked flyer, and to my great relief, the pck Suzie had done up for me was still nestled in a corner of the trunk. I reached down and got it, and then proceeded to catalogue my inventory.

I was stuck on a rock, miles from home, with:
-A loaf of bread
-Three big chunks of dried beef
-A goodly wheel of cheese
-A 1/2 gallon canteen of water
-A blanket (bless Suzie's heart!)
-Three-and-sixpence
-A pair of binoculars
-And a notebook **Here my record turns into a live-action event log**

Nightfall is approaching. I guess I'll eat a bite of the bread for supper. Going to have to ration my food - could be stuck here for weeks.

Put the food away. Almost time for bed... I wonder where to put the pack? I strapped the pack to a bush. It should be secure there. Hhhmm...guess I'll just sleep here - the Tin-Plate Birdcage is too rickety. Time to put away the journal - not enough light to write.

Suzie...

Fourth Walling: This is my first Steampunk MOC. Kudos to Kevin Fedde for his Floating Rock MOC. This is a series, and more of Jack Bilbert's adventures will be forthcoming. Please review!
