When lumber hungry orcs need to expand the business to... populated areas, Doomgrin is the first deployed. Made for the MOCpages mecha contest group.
About this creation
The Doomgrin are the most feared orcish war machines. The sound of one is enough to cause many to abandon their settlements, the sight can make the strongest dwarf soil himself.
Armament: Two heavy machine guns punch through vehicle armor as well as mow down jungle (I take no credit for the barrel design, but I do not know who made it first). Four anti-air rockets often surprise pilots as they rush out of the jungle canopy. These skull bombs pictured here, however, are what make Doomgrin the most dangerous. Upon impact, they release a deadly acid that eats through flesh and metal alike. They also disperse a gas breathable to orcs, but highly toxic to the lungs of other races.
The legs are simple and greebles are at a minimum. I wanted to focus on color and shape; pulling off the mouth did take some finesse, though.
Back shot. Bow down before the might of the flick-fire missile! (probably my boldest move since making a rainbow mech)
Seen hear parked at a perimeter logging camp with some orcish elite troops. Here is the logging truck which is part of the same operation.
The trolls, who are allied with the orcs, have been horribly mutilated to meet orcish needs. Most are used for heavy lifting but this one has been “enhanced” with a chainsaw arm.
An enhanced scorcher; he has been upgraded with a flame resistant suit. However, orcish law 7 prohibits any orc from wearing sleeves as it is perceived as weakness to cover one’s arms.
A scout. Big game hunters are often employed as jungle scouts as they are masters of not being scene. They are second to none with slicing weapons.
The grunts are formidable in their own right; they have no problem blasting a stranger in the face then cleaving them in two with the notorious halberd-shotgun, or boomslice.
These monolithic towers are always burning; no one really knows why.

This is really quite awesome! What piece did you use for the blade of the boomslice? I've seen it around different Mocs, but can't identify it.
Its a relatively new piece that comes with some of the new Space Police sets on the criminal ships.

sweet, how did u make the jet pack(the Orc one)??
There is a clip on the back of the ninja mask. I attached a t-piece to it and a fire hose to make the flamethrower. |

May I nick your machine gun design?
Sure, but I didn't come up with the design...looks like Nannan did. Also, thanks for the praise on Prismatic Shadow, that is very flattering.

Go for it, the barrel design is not originally mine. Don't know who did it first but I saw it on Jerac.'s page. |

The mech is great (very Mechwarrior looking) and the mouth detailing looks great! The forest scene really adds and orcish troops look ferocious. |

GREAT MOC ! I'm very interested by all MOCs featurings a "monster head" with jaws and here you've done it perfectly. And it's really well balanced by the rest of the design, not to mention the cool minifigs. Very inspiring and perfect !
