World War Two Sherman Tank
World War II Sherman Tank: ANY sugestions would be more than welcome! Thanks...
About this creation
Sherman Tanks were first introduced in World War Two and were used up until mid Vietnam.

The wheels inside the treds are a mix of lightsabers, circular discs, jack hammers, and other small assorted pieces. And the stars are made of paper.

The treads are hard to find. I found them online. If you're looking for them, they are found in one of the new star wars episode 3 sets. The only problem is you have to buy two of the sets for enough treads and it's $30 a set. So I recommend you go online and buy them for about 2 cents a piece, and you need about 100.

For an easy background, I suggest taking a poster (i used a really old star trek poster) putting it in your kitchen on one of the counters so that the ends curve up and lots of light. But not too much, or it will glare.

****Update: This tank in not a stolen model from Mechanized Brick, infact, i was never aware of that site so thank you for telling me about it. Yes the bottom of the front of the Sherman is the same piece, so beacause they were here first, I give Credit to www.mechanizedbrick.com for the picies that look the same. Is that how your supposed to give credit? But in the end.. i did NOT take the design from them, its all in the mind!!!

OK, you asked for ANY comments, so here I go. I love the tank. If you want to improve (not very easy task, as it is almost already perfected), you may want to add more cargo (those things were loaded with mounds of stuff sometimes) including anything from crates to ammo belts to nades to rifles to jerry cans. Also, if you have the pieces you can always make attachments like the chain lashing mechanism that would explode mines on the Normandy beaches before they could harm troops.

If you build something new before the end of May you could enter it. http://www.flickr.com/groups/legomilitary/discuss/72157604182049397/ Info is also on Lugnet. I like it. Nice job on this and the Higgins boat. Is this dark grey or did you use an off-brand? I understand that the tracks on the Shermans were fairly narrow. Two rows of chain links might work to give this effect. Do you have more photos of the undercarriage and interior. Very nice work.
