MOCOlympics Round 3, Group 1: MECH
About this creation
Round 3 Group 1
Stacy Sterling vs Kevin Walter
Category: Mech
Are all mechs programmed to seek and destroy? Is it possible that there are mechs that have a mind of their own, who want more than just missile launchers and destruction?
Meet my EmoMech – he has a tough outer shell, but inside he really just wants to understand himself and to find someone who can understand him. He’s dressed and ready for a first date, complete with bow tie and flowers. I have to admit, this was a challenge – but I truly appreciate the opportunity to compete against a very worthy opponent, and build in a style I have never built in before. It all started with a great pair of Chucks (Chuck Taylor All Stars for those who don’t know) and evolved from there.

Quoting Steef de Prouw~'Cool and nice build. I must say that I like it better when you go down...'~ Ok, how did Cris miss that one and what does Dave think of this?;) Seriously though, EMO MECH?! High-larious! And to anyone who thinks this was a risk, you need to put down the water filtered smoking apparatus! The Chucks are awesome, but for me the saw blade flowers are the coup de grace! Congrats and best of luck in the next round! |

good idea but I wouldn't take this much of a risk in the mocoylympics. My first mech wasn't anything great but if I were you I would have played it safe. hope you make it to the next round.
wouldn't it be funny if you and Dave were the last 2 in the mocolympics I should make a sig fig comic about that. |

Although it feels more like a GothMech than an EmoMech, it's amazing... I like the shoes and the ribs most of all. And I see you have some Bionicle laying around... :) |

Aww, he just wants to be loved. Very cute, I like the bouquet of dead flowers and his sad little eyes. And of course the chucks are awesome. |

Cool and nice build. I must say that I like it better when you go down (I like the head the least and the shoes best). And that was exactly what I was thinking: why do all mechas have rockets and guns and stuff? That sort of thinking makes that I'm usually not bothered with mechas, but this is great! |

Eh, I don't think his pants are tight enough to be emo. Just kidding. What a great concept, well executed, not over-done as many mechs can be & a great sense of humor. Good luck to you and your opponent. |

Skull belt buckle ftw! Terrific take on the mech concept - the Chucks are great, but his face and "hair" are outta sight as well. |

Well Stacy, this is a very clever build. I love the flowers and the Chucks (I wear red in the ER myself). I really wanted to give you my vote, but - actually you do have my vote. Good luck with Chris and Brian. Lee. |
