About this creation
Ga Korroth's Wavefront, one of the most elaborate ports in the Matoran Universe, was under the sole command of Abgrundtief, one of Tolus the Waterlord's minions.
Abgruntief was once a vampire squid, from Kalmah's spawning pit in The Pit, beneath Voya Nui. Tolus collected him as a sample, and took him back to Korrothis. The waterlord Tolus likes to catalogue each and every new sea creature he hears about. When on Korrothis, the squid was turned into a minion, and named Abgrundtief. Abgrundtief was gifted with powers over the icy black waters he once called home.
Abgruntief is a dance maniac, often living it up in his apartment in Ga-Korroth with the other minions, setting off his bioluminescent chest, elbows and antennae like glow-sticks. He can lead when he needs to, although his methods can be rather dark, and so he became a shrewd economist to govern Korrothis' sea trade.
His weapon was seized in a raid on a Makuta-occupied island called Jamun. Half club, half spiked whip, it can deal a lot of damage to armour as well as exposed flesh. Abgrundtief also retains his vampiric powers from when he was a squid, and can bite into an enemy's wiring to heal himself. His sword is a standard matoran design.
The back. Like all minions, he started with a handful of random pieces, a weird idea and technique, and a bizarre colour scheme.
