*NOTE* This is my first attempt at a tank unit.
Further improvements are still needed to put this tank into full production. This tank has performed remarkably well during all the standard tests.
About this creation
The X-01 M.B.T. is still in testing because more improvements are still needed. It may just serve well as the standard M.B.T. the R and D Base. As more specialized tanks are also being developed right now. It has basic armor throughout, its has a standard cannon which is capable of very short range artillery strikes, and is piloted by only one soldier. Only soldier is needed to operate the tank because all the systems onboard are automated, the shell loading and gun turret reloading are all automated so that in the event of a loss of one of these tanks is on a 1-1 ratio, one tank one soldier, say good by to the days when whole tank crews were lost. This tank is helping pioneer a new age of unmanned tanks.

Awesome. Um... in the Lightning Groups contest the armor division is for armor of minifig. Like a clone trooper armor or storm trooper armor. We, unfortunately, do not have a tank division, but that will be corrected next year. :) Hope to see this entered then. Because it is a very awesome tank. |

Nice turret! Very innovative use of sloped pieces! Maybe a little rough around the edges, but the enemy's not going to care! Good goin'! |

I agree with Matt...a slimmer body and a smaller turret would make the Abrams shake in its treads... And the age of unmanned tanks is already upon us. In 2007, US Army engineers and two civilian buiders tested a renote-controlled tank. It's complete with an RC MG42 machine gun, and can drive straight over a 3ft tall block of concrete. Good stuff... |

The frame is a bit blocky, but good job on the rest! |
