About this creation
My second run at this idea, a mash-up of my Dragonflyand a Republic Gunship Fighter.I hope you like it and please rate and comment. Thanks for looking.

Designed upon the request of Special Forces Commander Ash, the LAAT/GF became a vital tool in many pivotal campaigns throughout the Clone Wars. It was created by Rothana Heavy Engineering(RHE), in conjunction with Kuat Systems Engineering(KSE), both subsidiaries of Kuat Drive Yards(KDY). RHE took it's Gunship Fighter design and modified it to Commander Ash's specifications: one pilot, one gunner, compact size and enough fire-power to rival a full sized LAAT/I. RHE then turned to KSE, the company that created the Firespray and CloakShape Fighter, knowing they were the only ones with the weaponry, tactical and targeting programing needed for the job. With the addition of an upgraded and heavily modified R4-D7 unit hardwired into the systems mainframe, the pilot gained full assistance with maneuvering and on the fly diagnostics and repairs. With it's own military programing upgrades, the R4 unit operated both front mounted twin mini guns and the two top mounted concussion missile launchers. Designed to only carry 8 Clone Troopers and there gear, plus pilot and gunner, the LAAT/GF was light and versatile, perfect for in and out Special Forces ops. Due to there sophisticated up-grades and high cost to manufacture, only 200 were made, and less than a dozen survived the Clone Wars.

A view from the front. "Clankers beware!"

A view of the rear turret. "No mercy back here either rust-buckets!"

A view from the side."Easy in, easy out. No muss, no fuss, just the way we like it."

A shot of the rear turrets movement capabilities."If the two 'Terror Twins' up front don't get ya, these twin babies will make you wish they had."

A view of the two concussion missile launchers."If there's any clankers left standing after that barrage, we always have the 'mops' to finish cleaning up."

A view of R4-D7 in the hull."That little noise maker has helped pull our back-sides out of more than a few Mynok nests, if you know what I mean."

A parting shot of the opposite side, with the front guns in landing position.

Quoting Commander Calle (a.k.a. Tyler Halliwell) . This is really cool. It is clean, sleek and like a cooler version of a gunship in mini me version. One of the coolest creations I have seen on the pages. It is the exact opposite of my gunship. Mine is bulky, yours is sleek. Mine is huge, yours is small. Mine *****, yours rocks. Great job!!!!!
Hey, like I said on yours, they're not easy to make if you don't have the pieces. That is the main reason I came up with this. That and wanting something with a little originality. Also, it's a compact, downsized, single pilot dropship variant, where yours is meant to be more of a standard dropship. BTW, I hope I didn't come across too h@rsh with my replies about the 'head' thing, I was just being a smartaxx and bustin' your b*lls a little. That's pretty much what I do...~H

This is very creative, I love the realism you added to the backstory, I might build one of these since I lack the pieces to build a normal sized one, besides I like this better than the normal LAAT/i this is sleeker and looks like it would be used by ARC troopers, or clone commandoes.

I like this creation of yours more than the original Republic Gunship. I prefer more streamline and compact creations. Would you plz commend on this creation? http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/150051

Quoting Philip Morgan Neat little ship. Good detail and the background write up brings it to life. The rear gunner is excellent. I got into Star Wars Lego is a similar way to you, one set, the 'Droid Escape' bought in the early 90s has led to a whole room bursting at the seams with Lego, is it madness?
Thank you, I wanted it to have that Lego set feel, something you'd be able to buy a couple of to build your army. As for my collection, my wife and daughters have kept my Lego purchases to a minimum(compared to many on here)but she would most certainly refer to it as 'total madness'! My goal is to get into the molding and customizing, but that is a ways off...

Quoting William H. I am very impressed by this. The overall shape is fabulous and THE PICTURES ARE FANTASTIC! I love the little troop compartment and the guns on it. This looks like a small variant of the LAAT and it's AWESOME. I especially love the cockpit on the front. Great job on this, 5/5.
Thanks Will, it means a lot to me. I had a great time conceiving it.
