Brickbeards Bounty: Revision 1
An edit of Brickbeards Bounty.
About this creation
So as any expectant history/lego buff would want, I bought the set Brick Beards bounty. However I was left more than a little unsatisfied. The set really wasn't made for people like me who wanted a ship to make a movie, or for historical accuracy. So, I got to work with this creative mind of mine, and built on top of the set for all potential buyers of this set. Below I have listed the improvements to the ship, and why I did this. I also have attached a picture of each individual improvement. Also note, that I did not have all the available pieces early into this project, so I had to buy more sets with pieces that corresponded with my needs. Enjoy, and feel free to comment if you want building instructions or have found a descrepency in one of the improvements.

Improvement 1: Addition of a second deck

The thing I found most lacking about this sailing ship, is the absence of a secondary deck, one that wasn't in the very bottom of the ship. Although the original form of the set stands true to a galleons design, I wanted cargo space, with an upper deck above the cargo space. So, I did just that. In these two photos, I have added an upper deck which now gives this ship 2 decks total. The bottom deck I have used for cargo space so that the pirates can get more loot and have more place to store it, and I used the top deck for the guns, which would give them an advantage over smaller vessels. I created the upper deck in a way that it would be sturdy, and able to come off to reveal the lower.

Improvement 2: Addition of stairs and diversion to one door into Captains quarters
Alright, so another major problem I had with the set, was the lack of accessibility to the helm. In the original set, there is no way for any of the crew to reach the helm, unless the climb and jump off of the mast. So I had to change this. I added a flight of stairs so the crew can reach the helm without a problem. Of course with the edition of stairs another problem arised; what about the second captains quarter entrance? Well the answer is just to get rid of it. Once I filled in the door with the back of the stairs, I now had more room to add improvements to the captains quarters in my next update of the ship. I also kept the 1st entrance next to the stairs that head below deck as pictured below.

Improvement 3: Extension of upper deck, and mast hole.
Alright, Ill admit it I do not remember what the hole is that the mast extends out of the lower deck through the upper deck into the sky. However, this ship definitely has one. I created a realistic, brown studless piece trim to resemble the old wooden usage. On top of this, I found that the front half of the ship was non existent. The crew could only go to the front of the inside of the hull, but not near the front sails. So I fixed this as well. I added an extension of the upper deck so that the crew could spread out into the front as well.

Improvements in next update:
1. The construction of a Crows nest
2. Sails with different nations preferences
4. captains quarters revamp
5. Possible third deck

( Please rate and comment, It will help me know what I need to improve, or keep the same. Thx :)
