My entry for second round of the 2009 mocolympics....
About this creation
Research base on Moon- i couldn't do better improvised spaceship than alex but i decided to use my original idea for classic space- what could be more classic than Astronauts in their base on Moon...
Mooncar....
They collect samples to find rare minerals on moon and carry the rocks to the base with mooncar....
Base closer...
Little lab for astronauts to examine the samples they collected
To make this looks a bit like a classic sets i used smiley heads and simple bodies- white one is some old official one from very old 80s spacesets - unfortunately i have customized most of my smiley heads and i used that quite a neutral head to other astronaut

Looks nice! Good job on this, I like the mooncar too!! Would have been a nice addition as a set to the classic space theme [impossible now, it's been gone for like 30 years I think? Oh well...]
By the way, I just added part 8 of my comic series. Could you please check it out? Thanks!

Nice job, I like the classic space figs and the little rover is cool. The base has a good amount of detail and the feel of classic spaciness is pretty good. It looks like you just threw this together at the last minute so it's not your best. Also, I was wondering if you had seen the movie "The Fifth Element". If so, you may like this Moc: http://mocpages.com/moc.php/152479 |

Very nice. While it misses the mark on the color scheme, you've done a great job of capturing the CS feel with other elements (as you mentioned in the post). I like the fact that you did some interior work, as well. Unfortunately, I'm gonna have to go with Alex's build for my vote. I think he maintained the classic look and feel, while creating a very polished looking MOC that also had some more updated techniques. But you did some good work, all the same. I knew i would lose this when i saw alex's entry classic space is not really my thing and Alex deserved your votes - maybe next year....

I really like the doorway to the station, nice work. And the moonbuggy too! But as Mark just stated here, it's a pitty it doesn't raelly has that "Classic" feel to it. I voted your opponent, thanks for playing! |

Better put that link in the body of the post before the judges get here (oh, and say in the begining that this is the "classic space" category). Other than that, not a bad entry. Good luck! ~ Chris.
Well i correct those- but alex didn't say category either.... |

It's quite a simple -legos have improved a lot in twenty years- btw can you explain why i cannot organize my mocs- is it because i have added them in groups or what? |
