I was inspired to build this after I saw a Loco Transporter at Neasden waiting to enter the rail depot.
About this creation
My first MOC which kick started my MOC life.
I built this using old techniques and scales which was pretty much all I had known. My knowledge of using SNOT was very limited.
Since using this site (and to some extent Flickr) my techniques have evolved and I have had so much inspiration from so many other (and better) builders work.
I am so glad I found this site and I am so glad I don't produce models like this anymore.
This tractor unit is not based on any particular real life truck make or model
I've put a winch on the back of the cab but it serves no real use to the model. I just thought it would look good.
With the trailor I experimented with some smaller wheels at first which did work but I was unhappy with the wheel spacing (due to lack of parts that I own). I changed it to this which uses the same size wheels as used on the tractor unit.
This is a top view of the Loco just to show the air horns and aerials.
Very nice! Even though I'm not a fan of cabover tractors, this is still cool! My favorite touch would have to be the winch. I ran out of winches so I can't build winch trucks until I order some more. Be sure to check out my page every couple days, I'm re-uploading the Peterbilt as soon as I get four parts.
