Nazi storm elites were actually real. my great great great great great grandpa was one" No they ain't real they are just fictional solders but the most stupidest thing is is that no one can carry a high firing MG-42 and they did not have gas masks as standard issue although Hitler called his soldiers "Stormtroopers" as they did existed in WWII.

They're not decals that you cut and then glue them to lego torsos. I got these torsos from the old Johnny Thunder sets.

Well, it doesn't really look like a MG42, more a FG42, but sure, you can use it ;)

I just used the goggle and put it between the edge top of the torso to hold it in place. Sometimes it would just fall out.

If you didn't use tape or glue on the gas mask how did you do it? It looks pretty legit...

I tried making it and it is VERY easy. but did you use two studs or one to make the mask thing part? But it is VERY EASY to make, but hard to make it stay on the face.

Maybe you should paint the gun a bit? 'Cause the stock was wood, and the barrel and action were dark grey... kinda like the one i just made...

I am not a fan of many WorldWar II shooters, but when airborne was released I was intrigued by the "drop anywhere on the battlefield" aspect. Anyway, while playing through, I have to say the most memorable battles were with these guys! Beating the game on the hardest difficulty was no small feat, when you were up against a couple Nazi Storm Elite, nice LEGO interpretation! You brought back some frightening memories!

See the German rocket launcher was based on the Bazooka. Unlike the Bazooka the rocket motor still burned fuel until it hit the target, meaning the firer, without any form of protection plate, would be burned in the face and hands, unless he wore protection. So the simplest answer was to put a gas mask on the operator. This is still a pretty kool representation of MOH, but because the game is incorrect, this is too. =)

I agree with everyone else on this, the gas masks are awesome! and about the mg-42's, those were mounted machine guns used to defend key positions and areas during WWII, I don't really think that a nazi would be carrying one. and I must admit the picture of them from the game makes them look like some sort of phantom! Overall great job, the gas masks are sweet! 10/5

one thing, the rifle is a sniper. Look for the one with a smaller barrel, or just cut that on :S

Heres a really easy way to kill them, throw 2 grenades at one then shoot the other in the head.

Today i decided to actually take a look at this and his description on making the mask works great for me. 1 little note though, its easier for the pieces to stick if you put a little thin layer of wax on the stud.

very nice. if you haven't played the last level to the end yet (Der Flakturn), just wait until the part where you have to fight eight of them at once. also, a hint while fighting them, use LOTS of gammon grenades.
