Note the heavy knee shields, which protect the otherwise skeletal legs.

I'm thinking of adding roller gear to the heels when i inevitably re-work this...

This unit is equipped with external HMPs (High-Mobility Packs), combination thrusters and ArGrav generators. When activated, they greatly reduce the overall weight of the frame, allowing it to boost-dash at high speeds, as well as make assisted leaps. It lacks actual flight capability however, as it is somewhat top-heavy and not aerodynamically stable.

A medium-class Defensive Cyborg, typically posted around the perimeter of airfields, nuclear silos, and other PL-2 or higher areas.

Controlled by a human brain, the GrauerSoldat is designed to withstand, and respond to, heavy attacks. The cyber brain is buried deep within the torso of the unit, enabling the operator to survive any amount of damage that doesn't crack the braincase. It has a modular loadout, with this particular unit being equipped with a quad-barreled 23mm chaingun on the left arm with HEF rounds for soft targets, and a double barrel 75mm automatic rifle on the right arm with APFSDS-I rounds for more armored targets. While not as agile as lighter units, it is by no means clumsy, especially when equipped with HMPs as in this case. The operator is neurally linked to an info-net that feeds data from all other allied sources in the area, such as UAV and satellite feeds, providing real-time battlefield awareness.

The name means "Gray Soldier" in German.

As a side note, this is my first model in 3 years, and I was forced to only use pieces from a Magna Guard Starfighter model, a bionicle set, and what few pieces were in the one box of lego that actually made it here to our house. I was originally shooting for something more Dawn Forge-style, but I think it ended up not really fitting that theme. I'm relatively satisfied in how it turned out, but it will be improved upon as soon as I can convince the wife to let me purchase more sets.

(Honey, if you're reading this, I love you!)

Quoting K Chidori Great build. Is there going to be another version now that you have more pieces? If so I recommend using the same backdrop as you used for your other builds as they have better quality photos.
Lol, maybe! But for now I'm too busy with what I have planned to try to rebuild that one. Time will tell...

Quoting CEO Luiz Camargo WOW! This one rocks! The armor seems really tough, the overall shape is awesome. Some pictures could be brighter or with a better background. Anyways, good job!

I think you did pretty well with a limited variety of pieces. I like the overall shape, it's very tough and imposing. The head looks as if it has a harness, and it recently escaped from it's master's control. I'd def like to see it get revised, it's worth it!

Quoting Owen Williams When are we gonna see a V.2?
Not for a little while yet, sadly. My lego collection is probably going to cost me like 200 bucks to have shipped to me, so the wife and I will have to budget that before I can promise anything. But I've got lots of ideas percolating, no worries!

Pretty good for your first shot in a while! I like the built of this, great making use of limited parts. I suggest trying to buy one or two exo-force sets, they have some pretty good joints and slopes. That or try and order parts from somewhere (thats usually the cheaper option). Great build, can't wait to see more! (P.S. if you need inspiration or some good techniques, check out my stuff!)

I find the idea of the shields on a mech intriguing. I do not go for mechs, and am not familiar with them, but I have not seen other mechs use shields (other than Gundam mechs). This mech looks like a nice, squat battle mech and I also like the back of this mech.

If one shield isn't enough, use 3 or more! ;) Nice MOC, it's come out great, considering the limited pieces you had. I can see a lot of potential. (Good write up too) Just remember to use lots of light when photographing your creations. It really helps.

Quoting Robby ! Great work! And with limited parts, too! Is it from GitS(I haven't seen the second season yet) or is it your own design? Great job 5/5
Thanks! To answer your question, I didn't base it off of any one thing, although the original inspiration for it came from here: http://www.keiththompsonart.com/pages/anvil.html However, by the time i finished the legs (i usually start from the feet up), I had gotten away from that and ended up with my own thing. I still want to copy Mr Thompson's original design someday though. And Masamune Shirow's designs have always been a big influence on me as well...
