An extinct, cuttlefish-like humanoid from what once was the oceans of Bara Magna.
About this creation
Listen to this while looking at Begraphah. It fits them well.
The Begraphah were amphibious molluscal creatures from what is now the great wastes of Bara Magna that lived before the planet broke apart. They were intelligent, but did not yet have grasp of things like language, tools, fire or EMP manipulation (which for a bio-mechanical BIONICLEŽ doesn't take much) but were expert at fishing. Their mandibles aren't hard, so they feed by ripping food apart with their mouth-tentacles and then macerating it with a series of tiny blades physically rooted into the walls of their throats. Their cries were low and guttural and they clicked by knocking these tiny blades together. Giant claws were good for taking down larger prey, and multiple eyes good for tracking it. Gill tubes allowed them to carry breathing-water on land. They also posessed venomous scorpid tails. Agori archaologists, of which there are few, call them "Vorox of the sea".
-The design is inspired by Shadowgear 6335's Lava Rahi. I saw it and thought: ::I can do better than this... but I like the style:: There's also a bit of Icaphax in there, another Bio-MOC here on MOCpages by someone whose name I can't remember, although multiple searches for it have yielded nothing. It must have been deleted.
-Its main torso is also a little bit inspired by Maxilos, hence the pistons, which I really haven't shown well with these photos... They do move the shoulders around. Trust me.
Big... stalkerish pose... Kinda looks like it needs the toilet... really bad...
The back, with non-colour-scheme-conforming technic bits exposed ._.
Now, personally, I can't decide whether it's better with the chestplate on or not... What do you think?
And what do you think of the MOC? Have I wowed you yet? No? I'll have to get my bigger ones up then!
My opinion is that this was a quickie. ...moderately fun to build. Not hard. The torso went really nicely, especially with how the tubes went in. They don't get in the way of the moving shoulders or anything. The back, however, I think is an eyesore, and I couldn't really do anything about the knees...
EDIT: After seeing Torchwood: Children Of The Earth, I realised how much this MOC resembles the alien 4.5.6. An edit might be in order, but probably not. I have better things to make. Who likes Gringat!? (My Sig-bio-figgy, not the saddo here writing this :P)
I love this moc design. Although, it borrows some design cues, it nevertheless looks an excellent moc overall that I think can easily pass as a commercial release. Btw, I will be releasing my latest titan(a very BIG TITAN) soon. Hope to see your comments.
Fantastic work, really I mean that. Bravo. Way better than any of my mocs anyway... This is probably the best moc I've seen in a long time. So good job.
