I feel one of the most under appreciated eras on this site would have to be the age of gunpowder, and the golden age of sailing. There are a handful of incredibly talented ship builders and such on here that I have come to admire, and hopefully build a ship that would one day rival theirs, however for now my army will have to do. :) So back to this army, I based it off of the british army in the colonies of America. Although their hats, and gear do not completely fit yet, I am getting closer to it. The one thing I found essential was to add a drummer for their army. Battle tactics back then where all dependent on communication, as is war since the beginning of time. Back then they used drummers and buglers to get the word out that they where retreating or advancing on an enemy. The also marched to the beat of a drum, which is why he is in the front. As a final note, the man in the second to last picture is the admiral of the colonies they are in. I showed him seperately because I am pretty sure he has no jurisdiction over normal army, but rather only the sea going vessels and a hand full of marines. Enjoy, please comment if you have the chance as well, I want to know if I am missing anything or need to add/get rid of something.
I used a small black ruberband, and tied it under the drum :)I just placed one end of the ruberband over his head, and the other over the top part of the drum. It took a while to figure out how to do that, but it was definitely worth the trouble.
