MOColympics Round 1 Group 2A: Ruben Riojas vs oucho t cactus in Short Story
My entry to the MOColympics in the short story category. This is not another heroic war story, get ready for some harsh reality here.
About this creation
Please hear this for the ultimate experience in watching this MOC.

Cpl. John Doe June 13 1944, 0900 Hours
"This is it, as soon as I saw that grenade in front of me I knew it was it" "My dad had told me, we were just pawns for the government" "My life passed in front of my eyes, not as a quick show of images, but as a memory, a long lost memory" "The place was total chaos after the SS counter-attacked the town of Carentan, taken two days ago"

"We had friends, family and people we loved back home" "War doesn't make boys men, it makes men dead"

"We walked discussing our future plans... there is no future now..."

"Then THEY came to take us away from our families, from our beloved ones"

"There was no other option but to go and die in the true hell"

"Endless days of training without rest"

"Brutal retment from the officers"

"We embarked in what they called "The Great Crusade"

"I drifted off target and landed near some Germans"

"Tracer rounds started going all over the place, I could hear a Thompson firing; the first time I had ceated death" "Our main objective was to destroy bridges to prevent german forces from resupplying their troops"

"I got to put the charges, it was dangerous and I knew it"

"The town of St. Mathieu, once full of life and happiness"

"Is now nothing more than a ruined village with misery floating around"

"We weren't the best of people either"

*Insert weird flashback end sound here* BOOM!

His entry to it. PS: I foucused a bit more in the build than in the story itself, but I really worked hours in this and thinking, improving and making. The main attraction was the bridge diorama but I had to cut some picures due to a pre-built MOC used there (I didn't know about that) So, I hope I can win this because I really want to keep going, judges; please put aside all the controversy, I said already that I DID NOT know about that rule.

Same as Shaddix, Ruben. Good story and build, but Cat Women From the Moon had ya beat from the title itself. Thanks for playing, though...Now hit the showers, you did well.

Nice little vigs. Aside from the concerns Chris has, you did a decent job here playing to your strengths. However, I would certainly suggest that if you make it to the next round, you build something 'out of your comfort zone'.

Controversy aside, there is no way that I couldn't vote for 'Cat Women From the Moon'. You put a lot of effort into this, though I might have enjoyed seeing something out of your comfort zone - that's what this whole competition is about. Keep building dude! And thanks for playing. ~dave

For whatever it counts. I think its excellent! The vigs all look great and the story adds to it as a whole. I suggest putting the story first though then using the extra pictures at the end. Keep up the good work and good luck in the games!

Quoting Giovanni Seynhaeve please excuse my fellow judge and good friend Chris. he's tired, sometimes dissapointed and mostly unpatient about certain "uncertainties"... we will try to judge this in a good and honoust manner. but next time; try to build something out of the safety of your perimeter...
I can't build a new enry in another theme can I? If so I'd be glad to change it to another theme such as post-apoc or house themes. So, can I do another entry or is this allowed? It was also because I mostly have militar figs, no clones, spacemen, knights, trolls or ninjas. All I have are americans and germans (and some other random figures)

Quoting Chris Phipson It's a good story but I have a few issues... I looked at your home page and noticed that you pretty much only build in this WW2 theme. Of course you should play the game with your best talents, so we're not going to mark you down for that HOWEVER... it REALLY looks like you had a lot of this stuff built before the competition. Had you told a story in some other theme, then there wouldn't be an issue but as it stands, I'm going to leave it to the judges to decide if you broke the rules here about using mocs built before the round started. If they think you used pre built mocs, then you will be disqualified. I present the judges with this photo of the jeep posted on July 31st. It's not "exact" but the frame is the same. http://mocpages.com/image_zoom.php?mocid=140719&id=/user_images/20655/12490495435 ~ Chris.
The Jeep and truck were the only thing that I used that I had pre-built and I did not intend to use them to raise it, you may not count the build of the Jeep if you want to, it's ok, since I didn't build it for this. Beside I didn't know you couldn't use pe--built MOCs, if it was in the rules and I missed it, it must have been thanks t he NEVER ENDING wave of smack-talk in that group, useful comments were hard to find. I don't want to be diqualiied from this just for a pr-built MOC, you can juge the diorama (the main build) without the jeep, it doesn't matter that much, it's not like I had only used the Jeep in it, it was just a detail. Please let me keep on this Phipson.
