This is my venator.
About this creation
This is my first time creating a Venator, so please rate and comment. I called it the Shadow because most of it is black. If you discover anything that you dislike in this MOC, please comment so I may fix it.
Side veiw. You can see the whole length of the ship. It's approxamently 2 and a half feet long.
Front Veiw. I was trying to recreate the look of the bridge. If you feel like this is not good enough please comment.
This is a closer look at the bridge part.
Back Veiw. I think I might need some help on how to attach the engines and to get mutiple engines on.
This photo gives the Shadow sorrounded by shadows, making it look very cool.

I think the shape is good but it could do with more detail. I have just made the Lego Ventor model and it would be good to look at this for inspiration.
Thanks for the tips. |

good start, but it could use some more detail. like steef said, since it's a shadow venator, you should come up with some creative new weapon systems or something. as for the engines, try using the bricks that have technic holes in the sides. that will help you to make multiple engines and they will be stronger because of the technic connectors. |

Very interesting choice of colour ;) I think I would like to see a bit more details though. Maybe some cannons...or maybe even better: since this is a shadow version, I'm sure it's a good reason to come up with a completely different type of function or weapon that's not on the original venator! |

I think you're off to a good start. I'm not sure if you want to or not, but if you want to fill the gap, here's an easy way: On the base below the gap, put a 1x2 plate that converts to a 1x1 on top. Build a column from that 1x1 and then run a 1x(however long you need) the length of the gap. If you make the column a plate taller than the sides you can put a 2x(however long you need) to cover the gap completely. Just an idea.
Thanks alot for your help. I think about doing that if I plan on making a second venator! |

Yes, in my eyes this needs some improvements. 1. The main body part could use some detail such as turrets, more republic designs. 2. The bridge could by less blocky and have a blue tip instead of a white. 3. There need to be multiple engines and they need blue tips so it has an "energy" feeling. Other then that, I like the overall build and the shadow theme. Thanks for your comment on my venator.
I agree with you. I really need some blue clear peices...
Thanks!!! |

Very nice venator- but as you know yourself little improvements are needed- not big ones- first it needs engines thay are hard without proper parts i cannot give any good advice with that i afraid... it needs bigger tail- bridge is good but too short and "fat" it needs to be taller and not so thick- colors could be better but if you don't have enoughj gray black is ok- it is shadow after all... Also you should fill up the gap in the middle of the hull... but good i give three
Thanks alot for your help!!! |
